I enrolled in the online Data Science & Machine Learning - Making Data Driven Decisions Course of MIT DSML, conducted in partnership with Great Learning this March 2022. I am an IT professional with nearly 24years in FinTech domain, having worked in India, UK and in the US currently. This course is truly one of "The Best" I attended, and I definitely recommend it to DS & ML "newbies" like myself as well as to those who wish to gain a more in-depth knowledge and hands-on experienc...I enrolled in the online Data Science & Machine Learning - Making Data Driven Decisions Course of MIT DSML, conducted in partnership with Great Learning this March 2022. This course is truly one of "The Best" I attended, and I definitely recommend it to DS & ML "newbies" like myself as well as to those who wish to gain a more in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.
Initially I was truly apprehensive considering the Stats portion of the course. But the Pre-Work in both - Python and Statistics, really helped. Of course, the numerous video lectures, each followed by a tiny Quiz testing the understanding, along with the weekly Saturday "Theory lectures" and Sunday "Hands-on" sessions conducted by experienced teaching staff, were excellent and helped to gain practical skill required in today's IT industry across various domains. Apart from this, all queries &/ doubts raised by the cohort, were immediately addressed by the staff as also any issue faced while installing the software &/ attempting the Projects. The Projects in the course not only covered the core of the course, but also extended to mimic a real-life scenario.
To summarize, I would really like to thank the Great Learning Team for the course delivery by excellent experienced teaching staff and for handling well all the related aspects of an easy enrollment & rendering of quick help to the students via the message board. When I began I was skeptical on how the program will be structured and how can I manage it with full time work as well as personal responsibilities. Also, re-engaging into an intensive acdemia after such a long gap seemed daunting. But right from enrolling, the GL team clarified each of my queries with patience. Once the course started, the first 6 - 8 weeks were daunting but again support of GL Program Management team was paramount. GL PG course is not designed to make you an expert but it definitely will get you started on a strong footing for your cloud journey !

I truly appreciate the tons of support from the Program Manager (V.), she has been wonderful in helping me on many occasions and best of all, she has a truly human sense of what exactly we need now at days.
I also would like to thank the professors who really spent lots of hours putting this great course together. It was a great journey and I still want to go for more!

I was expecting it to b...Recently, I completed Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (PGP-AIML) offered by Great Learning in collaboration with McCombs School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin.
I have spent considerable time in the IT industry covering many areas including development, operations, Data Ops, CyberSecurity, cloud engineering, project/program/portfolio management and leading teams. One area that was new to me, was AI/ML. I was expecting it to be a breeze, but this program reinforced the saying "more you learn, you realize how little you know". It was a rollercoaster, started off easy, but went through a whirlwind of different topics such as supervised learning (Regression, Classification), Unsupervised learning, Ensemble techniques, Feature Selection, Model Selection and Model tuning, Neural Network, Computer Vision and Natural language Processing (NLP).
It was lot more advanced, more easier to consume, and much more democratized than the esoteric neural network introductions that I took in college, years ago.
Greats:
1) the instruction videos were bite sized..easy to consume, understand.
2) the professors/instructors were amazing..they know the stuff and they explain in such a way that its easy to understand. I still had to watch many videos multiple times to understand brand new concepts.
3) MLS (Mentored learning sessions) were the most beneficial. They were interactive, conversational, and gave me an opportunity to get into details with the mentor on a specific topic.
4) Satish babu was amazing, passionate and knowledgeable. He really was into it, and if you ever get into one of his classes you are lucky.
5) Asghar Mohammadi was great as well, logical, and taught at a pace that was great for me.
6) Awesome program manager Sakshi Sharma, who was willing to answer any questions and help out.
7) There are options for mentoring sessions, which is good for beginners in this field.
Looking back, it was a roller coaster indeed. One thing I would advise is get your time planned and scheduled throughly, and follow through, otherwise you can be under pressure from project deadlines, and they dont extend it no matter what. I enjoyed the program, even though I hated the deadlines :-). I would recommend this for anyone who is serious about a career in Data Science, AI/ML.Great Learning of Great Learning

The course covers Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and specifically how Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are applied in Business. Some of the topics covered included predictive modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning, computer vision, natural language processing, ensemble techniques, neural networks, and deep learning.
For me, this course was VERY difficult. Ten years after graduate school, I assumed it would be an easy refresher course; oh how I was wrong! This is a demanding course, and I didn't think I was going to make it through, but I did. The folks at Great Learning went above and beyond their teaching requirements to see that I was given every possible opportunity to maximize my learning and get all that I could out of the course.
We attended class weekly, where questions were asked and our instructor kept on track. The instructor (Ms. Bridget Huang-Gregor) was great. Eminating ample amounts of industry knowledge, Ms.Huang-Gregor was easy to understand, her speech was clear, and she made sure the entire class understood the concept at hand before continuing on to the next topic. I worked along side other classmates, as well as had the opportunity to participate in a few hackathons. A crash-course in Python is included. There is a lot of material to learn in a short amount of time, you will have to put in adequate project time.
Get ready to experience some mind-bending algorithms. and take your learning to the next level with help from this course.Great Learning of Great Learning
