Our Mission

Course Report was founded in 2013 by Adam Lovallo and Liz Eggleston. While at LivingSocial, Liz and Adam saw the Hungry Academy come to fruition and were inspired by the program’s success in transforming bright employees into entry-level developers in six months.
As the bootcamp model gained steam, so too did the need for a third-party resource for their students. With hundreds of bootcamps to choose from, our mission is to help students navigate the research and application process from beginning to end.

Our Editorial Process

The editorial team at Course Report is committed to accurate, diverse, and actionable content that informs all readers and learners. Our editorial strategy has always been driven by questions from aspiring bootcampers – from success tips to technical deep dives and breaking down jargon for beginners. Our editorial team maintains a neutral voice and offers competing viewpoints to help readers feel empowered to make informed decisions. Our writers rely on primary sources like alumni and student voices to convey information about each bootcamp. We support those voices with authoritative sources like industry professionals, education specialists and government leaders.

We strive to update content regularly as the bootcamp industry evolves. Readers may contact us at hello@coursereport.com to report mistakes or to register updates.

Editorial team members never receive direct compensation from Course Report's advertisers. The schools with whom we have an advertising relationship are marked as "Featured School" or "Featured" or "in partnership." Our advice, recommendations, and Best Bootcamps lists are not influenced by our advertising partnerships. When we accept guest posts, they are always from experts in the field and edited closely by the Course Report team. We are transparent in how we make money.

How We Make Money

At Course Report, we're proud that the content and guidance we provide to aspiring bootcampers is completely free to users. So how do we make money? Our advertisers and partner schools compensate us through lead generation, featured placement, and sponsored content. This may influence which schools we write about and where those schools appear on the site, but it does not impact our recommendations or advice. The schools with whom we have an advertising relationship are marked as "Featured School" or "Featured" or "in partnership."
Schools cannot pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their programs or to remove a review from our site.
