Dharamshala or Dharamsala is in northern India on the edge of the Himalayas, and home to the Dalai Lama. The economy is based mainly around tourism because of some English monuments from colonial times, lush tea gardens, and a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism. In the engineering and technology space, there is a nearby hydropower stations, and a hydraulic research station. Since 2012, a number of technology companies have opened in Dharamshala including internet service providers Air Jaldi and Vayudoot, Drupal shop Gai Technologies, digital marketing firm Development Logics, and mobile app development firm Moonpeak Digital.
