I was eager to learn coding with python. Cannot forget my wife asking me why "python" and "anaconda" terms, I also wanted to find out. But that was the start of my incredible journey. It was a fulfilling yet challenging experience that pushed my limits, deep into the nights, some interesting dreams, above all insightful. Everything, was making sense after every class. Starting from great roadmap, MIT faculty classes, the mentored classes to fantastic program managers. I did not have a background in data science, computer science or statistics, or engineering but it all made so much sense. I'm hungrier for more. I can recommend this course a million times. I would highly recommend this program for anyone interested in upskilling for their career ambitions, or those wanting to explore the world of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for their chosen industry.
Among the course modules the Foundations for Data Science, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Recommendation systems were some of my favorites. Elective courses in Generative AI and ChatGPT’s development stack were fascinating.
The course was demanding with its rubric and clear standards of academic progress throughout all modules. High praise goes to Great Learning’s mentor team, ancillary content materials, and support resources. The learning portal is intuitive and organized. The communication from the Great Learning Program Manager, and from the learner portal, kept me motivated and on track to complete the course successfully.
The shining stars of this program were the M.I.T. professors, the Great Learning mentor teams, and the learner community participating in this innovative instruction. The hands-on labs and real world scenarios the mentors used to illuminate the instruction made the learning compelling, digestible, and assured the absorption of the material.
This program includes content and instructional approaches that cater to project managers, program managers, coders, and business unit line leaders. The content was outstanding (live instruction, live mentoring, and online course content). The concepts learned will continue to make a difference in our approach at work to improve our speed and efficacy at making critical decisions affecting product development, strengthening customer relationships, elevating our customer experience, and will be invaluable as we navigate future strategy for our organization.

As someone who does not have any background in Python Coding and Data Science, the Applied Data Science Program offered by Great Learning and the MIT faculties is an excellent online program to get my foot in the door and my knowledge and skills up to speed in the field of Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Python Coding. I cannot understate my appreciations on how intuitive the platform is, how knowledgeable the professors and the mentors are, and how well the program has been organized by the Program Manager - Shubham Chourasia.
The learning curve was certainly steep for me. However, thanks to various recorded lectures, online sessions, case studies, and hands-on projects. I was able to manage the coursework at my own pace and become well acquainted with the broad range of topics the course was trying to cover. The case studies and hands-on projects provided in the course all had real-life relevance, making them not only very enriching, but also very rewarding to work on.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to acquire new skill sets or to expand their existing ones.

I love the professors, particularly John Tsitsiklis and Abhinanda Sarkar. I like the curriculum that explains topics step by step, so at the end you have a full picture in your mind. The crew members also do great job. I want to mention my previous project manager - Shikha - and my current, Shubham - they also do a great job. I would recommend this course to peers, definitely.

The course was very well structured, covering from basic statistics and Python, classic machine learning, to some of the more trendy and advanced models. For me the first part was very helpful because on-the-job training sometimes skipa the theory behind and one uses the tools without understanding the assumptions, which can lead to an erroneous application. So the fact that the course offered pre-course materials of the very basic things was really really nice. The mandatory homeworks and weekend practical sessions with industry mentors were also very helpful to ensure that the student understands and can apply the course content to real life problems. If this was not mandatory, I would not have prioritized learning and would not have finished the course. The readiness of the mentors to teach us was also very motivating and being able to ask questions in depth and also learn from other students' questions added to the learning experience. The learning platform was again very informative with a lot of practice problems, datasets, example codes, and optional videos explaining the codes that really helped me do the homeworks. The last part of the course was too advanced for me and I didn't see any immediate application in my current work situation, so I didn't get a very good grasp of it, but overall I definitely learned a lot and would highly recommend to whoever would like some practical exercises and theoretical understanding.

Since before the launch of the program, we were provided with prerequisite courses that allowed me, someone who has never interacted with any coding language, to understand the basics of Python coding language within a couple of days. Since that time, the course manager I was assigned to, Ritin Jhamb has been actively supportive (I was starting to think we were provided with 24/7 support since he has been responding to all queries at almost any given time.). The program provides a variety of different teaching techniques (pre-recorded video lectures, live lectures, live mentored learning sessions, exercises, quizzes, and hands-on projects). The material is delivered in a way that even I, who never had any interactions with coding previously, could grasp all the ideas and concepts. The support system is amazing, very responsive and provides all the necessary help, whether it was code related, technical issues, understanding the course material. Whatever it is you need, they will provide.The only point I would highlight for future students to be aware of, is the pace of the course. Since it is fast paced, I would recommend checking your calendar to see if there will be any time conflicts. I was excited and did not stop to consider that the cohort I joined would be during Ramadan, and the 2 Eids. If you lag behind in course materials, it would be challenging to get back on track.

Excellent course for who would like to improve concretely your knowledge in data science and at the same time practice skills. The lectures from MIT professores are ad-hoc, and the greatlearning team provides fast and well-explained post lecture summary to support a better understanding. In the hand-on projects, the mentors have provided clear explanation, and for any technical or conceptual question, after raising a ticket, greatlearning team will provide a fast and helpful solutions or advices. This is an intensive course, there are challenges, but after completing all the steps, I feel a big step ahead in data science, and it leverages my capacity dealing with different data-related topics and the know-how.
