This was an in depth training in the world of Data Analytics, it took weekends and afternoons away from family activities but the wealth of knowledge and comradery  I gain was priceless. The cost was free and appreciative to Amazon. This is just the beginning of a life long journey in Data Analysis. I can now proudly say now I am a Data Analyst. Thank you C1 for the quality of materials and the deliverance by the great lectures and always available TAs. Career coaches and mentors who drove us to job placements and kept us driven when things got tough. I am better off with the direction of my career and journey in Data Analytics.

It was a great course provided by C1.  The class was totally on-line, and communication was smoothly and timely. During class, the instructors taught basic concepts based on real-world business cases.  There were several small projects and one big project to get hand-on experience in data analysis.  TAs participated in team meeting, and touched base with every student. Amazon Correlation One Data Analytics 16 weeks program provided me the opportunity to learn how real-life situations within a business environment can be transformed into data, analyzed using an advanced excel tool, and how the same can be interpreted to take rational business decisions within the available information. The course work is very well laid out.  No matter your level of knowledge coming in, the challenges is what kept me going.  You will hit peaks and valleys, but once you see the light at the end of the tunnel it is very exhilarating once the goals are met.  Finishing the course after 18 weeks, it was a very prosperous feeling knowing that you've completed a very challenging 18 weeks.  Read less

DS4A was a fulfilling learning experience that takes a holistic approach to teaching. After obtaining my MBA with a concentration in Finance, I immediately started looking for data science boot camps and came across DS4A and Correlation One. After reading the mission statement, I knew I wanted to be a part of the movement! The program really opened my eyes to a world of possibilities that I never envisioned. It also did a tremendous job of improving my level of confidence in my data science abilities. A lot of the fellows frequently talked about imposter syndrome and ways to overcome it which has helped me greatly. I also gained a tremendous network of people that I can collaborate with on various projects and future opportunities. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the journey and I never felt as though I had nowhere to turn for assistance. The assignments are challenging, but overcoming them is what helps provide the courage and confidence to excel in any future roles. One of the highlights of the program was the focus on job assistance. The career training seminars and sessions were instrumental in several fellows' job searches as they prepared us for everything to include resume creation, interview preparation, salary negotiation, and working in the typical environment. I highly recommend this program for anyone who in interested in getting started in data science. The program provides participants with an excellent immersive experience of what is expected in data analysis: development of programming skill, project development, teamwork, and statistical analysis. The format is challenging, but like many bootcamp experiences, a strong sense of camaraderie is development between teammates and fellow participants that continues after program completion.  The instructors, teaching assistants and mentors are top-notch and provide high-level and both general and project specific skill development. Very thankful for the opportunity to go through this program. I learned a lot. I have always wanted to try Data Science but funds and the time to go back to school was a problem. The program is taught but great experienced instructors and i loved the guest speakers and mentors too. This program also links the fellows with employers and the program is 100% free!!! DS4A is an excellent course to acquire skills in data science, it does not matter if you are a beginner or with previous experience, the course is designed in such a way that those who have no experience start the course with a knowledge base that allows them to tackle the challenges during the development of the program. Although it is an online course, it does not feel like one because it encourages interaction between students and teachers. I highlight the following points:
1. Excellent classes and materials according to current needs
2. Teachers and trained assistants with the best knowledge and skills to teach.
3. End-of-year project that challenges you to apply knowledge in a work team that simulates a real work environment.
4. Additional activities are developed that complement professional training beyond technical skills in data science.
5. First level organization and support with a good system of follow-up and monitoring of students before, during and after the end of the program.
6. Possibility of participating in a diverse community that lasts beyond the course.

It depends on how well you score on the placement assessment, whether or not you have to take the Pre-Foundational Python course.  If you have to take the Pre-Foundational Python course, it is self-guided.  There are videos to help and study groups to keep you on task.  I think that the Pre-Foundational Python course needs a few more videos, but you can definitely learn what what is available.

You really get out of the program what you put into it.  A lot of the jobs advertised during the program do require some experience.  However, there are just as many opportunities if you want to start entry-level/internships.  With that being said, apply.  Apply.  Apply.  This program has been life changing for a lot of people.  As a result of completing this program, I am taking Anaplan Elevate to become a model builder.  This program is where I learned about model building via a couple of the speakers.  You get out of the program what you put into the program.

I graduated with honors and I am glad that I kept trying when things got hard.  You meet a lot of cool people.  You enlarge your network and your data ecosystem. Read less
