The DataCamp platform provide a well design infrastructure to learn especially about data related tools and concepts.

Learning concept is based on short lectures, which around 3-5 minutes, and a few practice on the given brief. Each course involve sub divisions that grouped by relevance and they sorted in proper order. The subdivisions start with a short brief and then reinforcing practices are presented to improve learning. The practices include interactive feedback to users in case of wrong or missing answers, which is very effective way to emphasis and improve the missed part of the given lecture.

In addition to the individual courses, there are also skill and carrier tracks which are composed of several related courses, projects, practices and short exams. Practices and mini projects inside the platform allows users to refresh their knowledge and test themself.  To sum up, the platform is building up in a extremely motivating way to learn. 

The web interface is easy to use designed for user while the front-end design, fonts, colors and graphics is also harmonious and beautiful.

There are some minor deficiencies in the platform. For example, some feedback in the course might be misleading or irrelevant. Lastly, job matching part of the platform should be improved, there are limited number of position to apply.

At Windesheim University of applied sciences we have been using Datacamp for our minor data science. It has been a great succes. Students can work on their own to get acquianted with certain topics. What is especially nice is the GUI for submitting your programming answers. Making it an interactive online programming interface, datacamp has really made it very easy to get started in for example Python. Overal this has flattened the learning curve significantly. I have completed a career track on data camp and I keep going back to take their courses, exercises and use the free cloud workspace.

•  The courses are great because they make the concepts easy to understand as you move from watching a video about it to immediately testing your understanding through guided exercises. 
• Then there are workout exercises that you can take unlimited times, that rapidly run you through the concepts of a specific course.
•  There are Weekly assessments to test your knowledge on different topics that make up a specific data skill. 
•  I also use the workspace with free database integrations to work on projects that I keep as my portfolio...
•  I also get email alerts for job openings that I can apply for...
•  I got a chance to compete in some of their many competitions which I always look out for, won some cash prizes...
•  The DataCamp Support responds swiftly...

I recently took a course on course career and I was extremely impressed with the quality and depth of the material. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging, and they did a great job of presenting the information in an easy-to-understand manner. The course was well-organized and covered all of the key topics in the field. I particularly appreciated the real-world examples and case studies that were used to illustrate the concepts being taught. I was going through a a lot of coding camp, but I found them really expensive. But I found out about datacamp and its courses,  and I found out this camp is going to be my best choice. It helped me understand concepts better in comparison to other coding courses. I absolutely enjoy spend 7 hours in a day studying and solving and exercising. I'm super happy with my choice.  I work as a data integration specialist at an EdTech company and we do a lot of processing using python, pandas, numpy, and SQL. Without a doubt, everything I have learned over my last two months at datacamp.com has helped me work more efficiently when it comes to processing student data. 

I absolutely love the fact that the whole platform is built on continuous feedback via the built in excercises. No need for an extra IDE...everything you need to learn is in one place. There isn't a shortage of excercises. You don't just watch tutorial, you try what you've learned and you know right away if you're right or not. This beats all the other courses where you either just watch some explanation, or be given an excercise to never know if you actually did them correctly. 

I was lucky that my employer paid for a yearly subscription, but even if they had not, knowing what I know now, I would have paid for the subscription myself.  Read less

So after finishing the entire DataScience Career track and multiple random courses in Python I can say without a doubt this is an amazing intro platform.
So let me be clear, Datacamp is ideal for students to quickly go over complex topics and get their feet wet ever so slightly. This is because the excercises are very obvious and they hold your hand a lot, but I would take that as a good thing.
Because the best way to learn Data science is to learn just the minimum and then jump directly onto projects and once you come across tough concepts then just dwell deeper into them.
So to get through the absolute minimum and retaining the info(as you actually code and play with code) Datacamp is ideal.

However if you are looking for a challenging excercise everytime you learn a topic then this isnt for you. I am glad it isnt as it would have taken me twice as long to complete the tracks. 

One issue is that some topics here and there are covered by some lecturers , who doesnt do that great of a job explaining, but most are pretty amazing.

I always keep referring back to my Datacamp cheat sheet or slides to recall certain concepts when working on projects, they are super helpful.    One amazing thing in the data science track is that the order in which they teach you is exactly how you need to tackle the data science projects, they keep your mind clear and structured.
