I've been on my way to become a data scientist since for a couple of years now. I've been studying on many sites, took several courses on Coursera and even on Udacity. While overall quality of those online courses are pretty much satisfying, I never had a feeling that what I've learnt is enough, so I kept delaying applying to job interviews as data scientist.
What I find great about Dataquest is that this platform is extremely versatile, packed very densely with information and have great opportunities to practice skills that I feel is important to practice. The whole process is semi-self-paced (you are setting your own pace and try to keep up with it, or do not engage in such stuff at all), and I could skip all topics that I already knew (e.g. the basics of Python).
The most important part of studying here is so called "Guided Projects". In those projects I was able to explore various topics on pretty much real data in Jupiter Notebooks, the whole process of going through those projects is absolutely gorgeously structured. In every project I've done for now I felt like I was doing real data science.
For now I'm not finished yet, but judging by the content that I've completed already and the content ahead I think it would be my last data science course before I'll actually build up enough knowledge to go to a job interview as a real data scientist.

UChicago Quant Prep
I am using Dataquest for Quant Prep before my masters program. It was recommended by the school, and paid for with my tuition, but I have learned so much more than the minimum for preparing for school. It has been very rewarding to see my weekly reports and the hours of work I’ve put in. I am an attorney and going to get a masters after a doctorate is a very weird feeling, but I have felt very good about my choice because I can see how data science will apply to my work. So far my experience with the bootcamps I have taken on dataquest have been interactive especially the parts where you get mini quiz as you go so as to ensure you really understand what is being taught. As someone with zero coding experience i have had no trouble understanding the coding courses as they are tailored for you to understand even if you are a newbie in tech. Overall dataquest is a great platform to learn. Honest experience with Dataquest
I'm learning data science in python from dataquest and my experience with it is by far amazing. The course beginner friendly so I don't have to jump around blogs or yt tutorials to get the theory. And after completing the theory I have to do practical coding questions related to the theory and the good part is the coding is done on integrated jupyter notebook which is widely used in the current market so it's a win win for me to apply my coding skills in jupyter notebook in dataquest its...I'm learning data science in python from dataquest and my experience with it is by far amazing. Not Bad
I've been enjoying the SQL Fundamentals course so far! I've learned a lot about SQL and I use it concurrently with other resources/books that I find online. My only issue, and it's a common issue with Dataquest, is the lack of homework or assignments that can be done to hone in on the material.
