I did the UX Foundations course as a prerequisite for the UX Academy.My goal was really to get up to scratch with Figma, while learning some fundamentals on UI design. Designlab rocks!
I loved the Foundations course at Designlab. It is a very unique bootcamp because it is on 2 parts. First is the Foundations then the UX Academy. Why I love this is because you can get indepth experience to see if you enjoy the work before investing all the tuition at once. The mentorship is awesome and the curriculum is very thorough. I enjoyed my time studding a course in Designlab. the material is well explain and it touches many topics while giving you sources to learn dipper if needed / or wanted. It was an interesting journey, and I was able to meet my expectations.
As I already have experience in the UX/UI field, it’s a bit difficult to view things from a beginner’s perspective.

This course fulfilled my expectations and gave me a great intro into the field of UX/UI. It teaches you the basics of Figma through a 7 unit course and each unit builds off of the previous unit. The material never felt like it was too much to handle and they give you ample time to finish the course (8 weeks).
They also provide you a 1 on 1 mentor that you meet with online to review each units work (around once a week or whenever you complete a unit). A great introduction to UI & more
This course was well constructed, touching on the background and history of a lot of concepts within the digital UI and UX sector, as well as proving real life examples. The hands on design projects in Figma were well presented and challenging enough to allow for skill development.
