Frontend Simplified

I recently finished the Frontend Simplified course, and overall it was a solid learning experience, but there are a few things I think people should know before signing up.The course does a really good job breaking down things like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React in a way that actually makes sense. I liked that it’s not just videos, you’re building projects along the way, which helped me understand how things work in a real-world setting.That said, the price is definitely something to think about. Around $10,000 is a lot, especially when there are other options out there. It might be worth it for some people, but it’s not an easy investment.I also ran into some delays getting help in the mentor section. When I got stuck, it sometimes took longer than I expected to get a response, which slowed me down. Because of that and just trying to really understand everything, it ended up taking me about 16 weeks to finish instead of the expected 12.Overall, I did learn a lot and feel more confident in frontend development, but between the cost and the slower support at times, I think it’s important to go in with realistic expectations.

I started FES with very basic self taught skills and immediately the lessons had you coding right along with them as you learn which is a great way to learn in my case. They go over industry best practices as well as teaching other ways incase you happen across them in the field. The 24/7 access to mentors is amazing and you can either chat or video conference them by setting up a call which is awesome. The team is extremely nice and very knowledgeable and quick to respond usually within 5 minutes. I am currently at the interview practice part of the course and am surprised already in the short amount of time how much I retained skill wise. I cannot wait to do the internship and get myself out into the field.

I had absolutely no coding knowledge prior to starting this program. I have learned so much these last few months and Frontend Simplified is overall a well-designed program. The videos can frequently get pretty fast-paced making it hard to keep up at times, but each section closes with projects to help get you used to working on your own and figuring things out with the help of the previous videos and even googling. The projects are where I feel I’ve learned the most. The 24/7 mentorship support has been pretty excellent and helpful with me. Every mentor I’ve pursued help from has seemed really kind and patient with me. I have asked for help from them on multiple occasions and I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 5 minutes before a mentor responds to my question or need in the chat. Overall, I love coding and learning from Frontend Simplified and I love what I am hopefully heading towards when I complete this program!!

Before joining this program, I was about a year postpartum and not working yet, but I knew I needed to prepare myself to get back into the workforce. I only had basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, and I didn’t want to go back to just any regular job. I wanted to build a real skill that could grow with me long-term and still allow me to be present as a mother.One of the things I appreciated most about the program was the flexibility. As a busy mom, being able to learn on my own schedule made a huge difference. The program also pushes you to actually build projects, which helped me see what I’m capable of.That being said, it wasn’t easy. Learning JavaScript was definitely challenging, and there were times when I felt stuck that slowed me down during projects. The most difficult part was working on outside projects where you have to figure things out more independently. But, that’s also where the most growth happened.Now, I can build projects using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, and even work with APIs. I’m still learning and improving every day, but seeing what I can create now compared to where I started is amazing. Coding is something that constantly evolves, so I know this is a skill I’ll continue growing in.I would recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for creating and is willing to push through challenges. It’s beginner-friendly, but you have to be ready to problem-solve and stay consistent.If you’re feeling unsure, I would say this: visualize the outcome. Ask yourself if you’re willing to work through the tough, frustrating moments—even when it takes time to figure things out. Because if you stick with it, the results are worth it.This program also helped shift my mindset. It showed me that if you truly want to learn something, you can—no matter where you’re starting from.

Frontend Simplified has been incredibly engaging and educational! The self-paced approach allows me the flexibility to learn and study when I have free time. The mentors are supportive, knowledgeable, friendly, and very punctual. I received clear, instructional, and encouraging feedback for my project reviews, showing how the mentor team really wants the students to succeed. The iterative approach of learning culminates in challenging but approachable projects to utilize your new skills and expand on them. This allows you to take the time to understand how all of the moving parts work together. Looking forward to the next phase!

Frontend Simplified has been a great experience so far. One thing that really stands out compared to a lot of other coding programs is the level of support they offer. They have mentors available to answer questions, and there are live classes that are also recorded so you can rewatch them whenever you need. That’s been really helpful when trying to fully understand certain concepts.

They also focus a lot on helping students get job-ready, not just teaching coding. The program includes help with building a portfolio, resume and LinkedIn reviews, interview preparation, and other career readiness support. There are also code reviews and coaching sessions that help keep you on track and improving.

Another feature I appreciated is their job-guarantee policy. If you complete the program and meet the job-search requirements but don’t land a developer job within 12 months, they offer a full refund. That said, there are requirements involved—you have to complete the coursework, attend coaching sessions, and consistently apply to developer jobs (around 30 per week) while documenting your applications.

Overall, my experience so far has been positive. I haven’t finished the program yet, so I can’t speak to the final outcome, but the mentorship, structure, and career support have been really encouraging. I plan to update this review once I complete the program and go through the job search process.
