Great Learning

From start to finish, this program was well organized, supportive, challenging and packed with resources. The modules were broken up in a great way to aid development and progression within the program. The sessions were very informative, with engaging instructors and the assigned mentors were also extremely helpful to explain concepts beyond the classes as well as provide additional resources. The quizzes did well to reinforce the learning material and the projects allowed for application in real world scenarios. The program managers were also very diligent in making sure the program ran smoothly and students were making progress.

After completing this program, I am now equipped with new skills, information, better understanding and a plethora of resources for me to apply data science in my organization to inform strategies and drive towards company goals. I also look forward to learning more and building on all the knowledge provided. Read less

Coming from a non-tech background I wasn’t sure how beneficial this course would be. However, the program manager and program outline was very flexible and helped me ease into the field. They want you to succeed, and learn as much as you possibly can. It is important to note, this course is a lot of work, but ultimately very beneficial in the help. I joined this course when I came across it as an advertisement. The course sounded quick and the price was just right. Having absolutely no previous learning experience in the field, I still decided to give it a try. From the beginning the instructors and mentors were very thorough and explained everything extremely well. But since I had no prior knowledge or experience, when it was time to work on the projects, I started having a real tough time. I did not know how to download their files in the format they had sent and continuously kept getting errors. All my peers were people of knowledge and seemed very good at grasping the subject. I was embarrassed to ask for help thinking this should be stuff I should know after the classes. I tried watching videos and reading more and more but it wasn’t helping. That’s when I mustered up the courage and contacted the program office. Priyanka was God sent. She reassured me multiple times, would ask me how I was in between , always checking on me if I needed more help and basically the one person who made sure I don’t quit and continue and try my best to what I had committed to. I am happy and proud to report that I was successfully able to submit my projects, and complete all the assessments. I am thankful to Priyanka and all the mentors for their time, determination and their believe in me and others. They really make a great team and I am so happy I chose to do the No Code AI and ML.

I found the MIT-GE No-vode AI/ML course to be very valuable. The course covered the  Foundational Data Science concepts, methods and focused Data Analysis. The assignments with (No coding required) was helpful to understand key model design/building steps and parameter tunning to improve Accuracy, Precision and Recall of an educational ML Model's training and performance testing. The Al/ML lectures, online courses vide  lectures, hands-on exercises using RapidMiner, data analysis tools was very insightful. 
In a nutshell, this was a great learning experience for me.  I recommend it to others that want to learn Data Science, big data analytics, AI/ML model development and tunning without doing coding  Read less

I am a professor in the biomedical area, interested in upskilling my analytic abilities in applied data science. While I had some previous training in statistics and overall modeling, I lacked the consistency and focus on predictive analytics. Also, I needed a crash course on Python. The MIT Applied Data Science Program @Great Learning is a brilliant program that does it all - it meets you where you are, professionally, and builds a path for solid scientific growth. If you are committed and enthusiastic to learn, it provides a pre-program training in Python and statistics, to prepare you to engage with the more advanced courses. I have to say it was really excellent. It gave me the basis to further engage in advanced problem solving, with their dual focus on theory, and problem solving with coding with real cases weekly. Once you start to do exploratory data analysis in the program, you get on the path to accrue new ways of thinking with data and with more and more powerful methods to work with big data. This cutting edge program provides online dedicated sessions with top MIT professors and great mentors along the way to work with you to deliver these contents and practices. Also, a program manager is assigned to you. This person is always available and is extremely helpful in guiding the learning experience with you. There are multiple ways to communicate, so it feels really like a caring educational experience, with tons of support. I have to say I loved all the courses, and found opportunity to develop skill in multiple areas of interest, from machine learning, prediction and statistical inference with scientific visualization, applied to deep learning, recommendation systems, random forest, decision tree systems, etc. Additionally,  we work on the complex formulation of models and their interpretations to solve a multiplicity of real problems. They also added a ChatGPT training.  There is also support with career development, job search and a community of peers to engage during the program and afterwards. In sum, I found this program exceptional, supportive and rigorous, with top masters, caring and dynamic instructors, strongly building of your predictive analytic skills, and overall career changing. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

For anyone interested in data science and improving your coding skills using Python, I would definitely recommend this program.  The courses within the program are very comprehensive and provides a lot of hands on training experience.  The program is fast pace and intensive, however, the program is flexible for working professionals, and is designed to assist you in meeting the learning objectives and assessments.  Also, I felt very supported throughout my learning journey as the program manager and mentors were very quick in addressing any concerns or questions that I had.  The program definitely met or even exceeded my expectations.

Before I registered to Applied Data Science Program with MIT I read bunch of recommendations all over. Actually, this is what's makes me feel comfortable and high expectations  of the course.

I was very uncertain at first whether to take this course or not because I don't have a math or coding background... but I am so proud that I did!! It has been challenging, but the professors are excellent and the mentors are just wonderful... they are always there to help and support.. really makes a difference. This program was very challenging for me, but with the support of the dedicated Program Manager (Thank you, Rishi!!!), I was able to overcome it, even though I was completely new to the world of Anaconda, Jupiter, Python, strings, correlations, and so on. With the new knowledge gained, I hope to be better prepared for the future, where understanding and handling data is becoming increasingly important. In today's world, we are confronted with the challenge of having too many opportunities and struggling to make decisions. In particular, I enjoyed the final Capstone project, which was well thought out and focused on problem sets that are aligned with what I've seen in the real world. Course activation date 10-9-2022 at 8:45AM,  First request 10-11-2022 at 2:47 Put me in an IT cloud course and it was supposed to be software development. Three more support requests. Then the tech named Mr Jain says to contact him on WhatsApp to discuss further. No because its a scam. I have a whole chat transcript screenshot of what this tech says to me. Read less

Firstly, Great Learning is great platform for learning Machine Learning and Data Science. The website is very easy to navigate and it’s  clear where everything is. Different units, as well as lessons and projects are separated, which makes the learning process a lot easier.

The lessons are also amazing. I learned a lot from the teachers and I really enjoyed the hands on projects assigned. More importantly, the advisors are amazing and very understanding. Admittedly, I was falling behind on some assignments, and I was quickly assisted with what I needed to finish. The support for this program is truly excellent and they were very accommodating to my schedule and needs.

Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to start their career in data science. Read less

It was hard for me to convinced my dad to let me enter the course. that is because, i am still a student, and the fee is near RM7k when you convert it from USD to Malaysian ringgit. But, he let me entered the course due to the quality of the university. I convinced him that this university can offer me the best teachings on the subject. My goal after the course is that i can be more knowledgeable in data science so it would help me later in my studies (i am astronomy major so this course would help me to utilize data science in astronomy). not suprisingly, the course did help me understand a lot on data science and machine learning. really recommend this course for anyone who wants to use this knowledge for future needs, or who is passionate in learning this topic or just learning in general.  Read less
