My journey began even before starting the Bootcamp when I read the former bootcampers testimonies, I understood it was going to be an intense experience. But it still hit me when the program started. Besides the intensity, what surprised me the most is how much I learned since day 1.  I felt like I a pro in the very first month, and my background wasn't related to data or engineering... I was part of the February 2019 part time intake and my experience was overall very positive.

As a 5yrs finance professional, I wanted to develop my skills in data analytics and statistics. Our processes rely on large sets of data and there is a significant opportunity to make these more efficient with automation. Also, we elaborate forecasts and the Math and Machine Learning classes really provided me with the tools to improve them. 

Although it was demanding, it was extremely rewarding and the IE proved to be be the right outlet to do it. Professors were very supportive and agile when it came to adapt the material to our learning curve and needs.

I participated in IE Data Science bootcamp from march 2019 to June 2019. During this period, I started learning how to code from scratch and ended up applying and tweaking different machine learning algorithms such as neural networks, knn and many more. These models were applied in a project with a real client whoose company is the 4th biggest company for glass manfucaturing in the world. I think that the fact of being intensive and a “hands-on” way of learning really makes the difference. For 11 weeks we were solely focused in learning, practicing and again reviewing several techniques of machine learning while improving our coding skills. Also, needs to be mentioned that the instructors have a strong “real business” experience that helped to illustrate how and where those techniques can be applied. I would highly recommend the bootcamp to whoever is interested in Data Science and already have some experience on dealing with datasets and has some coding experience.

Teaching Faculty is very awsesome and all the resources available are very Enough. All Management staff was very Supportive as well.Curriculum made by the team is also very useful and encouraging. Repeated doubts sessions on Tuesday helps us to clear all doubts and weekend classes helps to manage our Current Jobs with study. Read less

Personally appreciated the option to email mentors for help, it was much easier because I could send my entire code and attempt and get help from there, which can’t necessarily be done via discord because another student could easily plagiarise. I haven’t gotten much help from discord either  Read less
