KeepCoding

Mi pareja y yo estamos trabajamos en empresas tecnológicas desde hace tiempo, y aunque en otros roles (operaciones y QA), vemos muy de cerca lo que es vivir mejor en cuanto a calidad de vida y sueldo se refiere. Así que como pareja decidimos que algo teníamos que hacer... estos cambios no llegan por amor al arte. 
Yo, postulé a una Beca de Keepcoding y Glovo, y me la concedieron. Y mi novio se inscribió en el Bootcamp de aprender a programar desde cero. Llevamos poquito tiempo, pero cuento nuestra experiencia porque estamos seguros que nuestra vida cambiará, con mucha ilusión, esfuerzo y sacrificio. 
Confiamos en conseguirlo de la mano de Keepcoding, y agradecemos la oportunidad de intentarlo.

I just finished the 10-months Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp at Keepcoding. I must say I'm really happy that I made the right choice. Since I didn't have an IT background, I needed a bootcamp that would help me smooth the transition into a whole new profession. I had read a lot about bootcamps that teach you the fundamentals but fail to help you get ready for the labor market. Keepcoding caught my attention right from the start because of the scope of their Bolsa de Talento. This service helps students to build their CV and prepare for job interviews and gives them access to job offers from their partners. The modules are very well designed and taught by instructors who work in the industry who also stand out, in general,  by their teaching skills. The instructors and staff are available most of the days to answer your questions, and sometimes even go out of their way to help you. From what I can tell, the material is reasonably up-to-date, specially the React/Redux stuff. I liked the fact that, apart from teaching you the updated stuff, they try to ALSO teach you the older version/way of doing it (i.e., not only React functional components and hooks, but ALSO classes). Each module takes 2 weeks to be taught and then you have a week to develop and hand in the "práctica" (practical assesements) where you apply what you learned in the module. Most 'prácticas' are very demanding but if you apply yourself are also doable. When the practica is graded they send you an email with a personalized feedback , which is a feature that I also liked a lot. Lessons are recorded so you can watch them the next day or any other day if you couldn't make it. In general I found the whole experience extremely challenging but very rewarding. Disclaimer: If you have never written a line of code, I suggest you spend at least 3 months teaching yourself the fundamentals of programming, basic HTML and CSS knowledge as well as the client-server architecture. Otherwise you'll find it very hard to survive and make it to the end. To sum it up, a very complete bootcamp by people who actually wants you to succeed. I'll be forever grateful to them. Read less

I am lucky to have the opportunity to be able to do what I love for a living. I honestly can´t remember a time in my life without being in front of a computer.

My experience with programming began with an IBM PC Convertible helping my father to do little things. When we got the internet in my country (Andorra) my new hobby became learning MUD and writing some scripts and mods to play games. The next thing was to create web pages with a CMS like Joomla or WordPress. In high school, I wrote a whole RPG game where the main characters were students and teachers.

In my first job, just after college, I had the chance to learn a lot of things. I worked on all types of projects: Websites, applications, SAP, apps.

When it comes to programming you can never stop learning. I decided to take a course on Angular at KeepCoding. Thanks to the knowledge I learned from this course I was able to develop my project: http://www.andocarbur.com. My website automatically collects data and prices from all the gas stations in Andorra and publishes them. The best thing is that I was able to create a website and app for iOs and Android with the knowledge that I learned during my course at KeepCoding.

The way I found out about KeepCoding´s bootcamp was because I was actually about to buy the course for iOs and Android. Luckily I saw the bootcamp which was exactly what I wanted and needed. I was able to learn programming languages such as Node.js, Angular, DevOps, etc.

During the kickoff to the bootcamp, the co founder of KeepCoding; Fernando told us that we would have to work our butts off in order to do well during the bootcamp. And that's exactly what how KeepCoding´s mobile app development app is. I am still doing the bootcamp and I can say without a doubt that the bootcamp has been a great success and I don´t regret signing up. Even though I already had previous knowledge and experience with the programming languages being taught I feel that my skills have definitely been strengthened  thanks to the awesome instructors at KeepCoding.

Signing up for this bootcamp has been one of the smartest decisions I have made in my professional life. I felt like Neo in the Matrix when he learns Kung Fu. Even though I already had experience as a programmer on average during the week I only slept about 40 hours. The bootcamp hasn't ended yet, but I have already published two apps in the AppStore. Everything I've learned has helped reinforce what I already have learned so far and has helped me improve as a developer and filled gaps of knowledge in all areas of the app development.

Learning with Keep Coding has been amazing for me. The teachers are very professional, knoledgeable and willing to answer every question you ask in a matter of minutes. It is by far the best online courses i have ever taken, not only because of the quality of the teachers and the way they get you to learn a subject but also because of the attention and motivation that you get from them ato keep learning and keep coding!.

If you have never written a line of code, then this a great option to learn the fundamentals of programming. 
A balanced curriculum (python, flask, javascript, css, html, pygame, git, MVC architecture), a challenging and caring professor, with the great support from the staff to help you get ready for the labour market. 
Gear up for a demanding coursework! 
Start from day 1 and do practice every day, even if one day you only have 15 minutes, just DO it.  Perseverance has its reward! Read less
