Then I realized that I really needed to gain some new skills to get more opportunities. I found Le Wagon Amsterdam by chance and after having a conversation with the staff I knew this was what I had been looking for.
I did Web Dev Bootcamp in Oct. 2022. Their program is super intensive but practical and it turned my life upside down. I had no clue what they were talking about on day one but eventually, I was transformed from having no code skills into building two applications at the end of the course. The vibe on the campus is awesome. The teachers and TAs are skillful and extremely supportive. The day at Le wagon will start with a morning lecture then you have all day to work with your daily buddy on challeges of the day and end the day with a live-code session. By the end of 9th week you will be ready to present your final project that you build from scratch on the Demo day. The Alumni community is strong and active, so if you are stuck with finding a job or looking for some coding solutions there will be someone to help solve the puzzle.
The journey was tough but it was totally worth it. I can say that this was one of the best decision in my life. For those who are making the decision, my suggestion is you should be prepared both mentally and physically because this journey requires commitment and it is not gonna be easy but everyone is capable to achieve it.
