NEXT Academy
NEXT Academy offers a 10-week Full-Stack Web Development bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and remote 8-week Front-End Web Development courses and 12-week Digital Marketing courses. NEXT Academy was founded by self-taught programmer and bootcamp graduate, Josh Teng. NEXT Academy partnered with the Malaysian government agency, Malaysian Global Innovation & Creative Centre (MaGIC) in 2014 - jointly officiated by U.S. President Obama, Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak and Founding CEO Cheryl Yeoh who previously sold her company to Walmart Labs, to grow the tech startup ecosystem in Malaysia.
The primary goal of NEXT Academy is to equip passionate individuals to become entrepreneurs, marketers and developers — the key ingredients to get a startup running. Students learn in a hands-on style and are presented with a set of challenges to solve each day. By the end of the course, students will build a fully-functional web app.
Today, over 1,000 students have graduated from NEXT Academy and are employed with some of the biggest startups in the region including GrabTaxi, KFIT, Mindvalley, REV Asia, Business Insider, Says, and Uber. Some multinational corporations have also hired graduates from NEXT Academy as well. Ninety-nine percent (99%) of all graduates have either started their own startups or joined a company as a coder, marketer, or designer!Â

I really enjoyed my time at next
I really enjoyed my time at next, and my feedback would be to try and always keep updating your content from the portal to the challenges, especially the apps that we build. It will also be amazing if you increase the number of apps that we gets to build instead of just 3, but overall, I thing you are doing very well. And I hope you will keep on improving.

Absolutely enjoyed my time at NEXT Academy
Absolutely enjoyed my time at NEXT Academy. It was hard, yet rewarding at the same time when I had my first app built on the 4th week of the bootcamp.
Went to a hackathon in Week 6 of the bootcamp as the only web developer in the team and managed to deliver an  app within 10 hours! Went for another hackathon one week after graduation and got into the top 5!

What inspired me most is the calmness that they exude whenever a problem is faced. They will work so calmly to solve the problem together with us.

My best learning experience thus far
One of the most valuable courses i've taken. I feel much more confident providing marketing expertise to my company. High quality mentors and In-depth valuable content provided (own experiences). Post-module followup (able to communicate with mentors again for further questions). I only hope that the slides were more modulated with extra details which mentors usually go into (like a textbook).Â

A-mazing
The bootcamp is hands-on and the mentors and the NEXT academy staff guides you through the whole course. I feel like I have learned so much within 5 weeks and it's not enough! There should be more classes! I also find that the environment (classmates/mentors/staff) is encouraging, motivating and everyone helps each other out :)

Really good bootcamp course
Really good bootcamp course, I would not have even had the drive to learn and complete so much in 9 weeks, would recommend to anyone, just one remark: maybe include more languages and CS based stuff like algorithms etc

I am very happy with the way this journey turned out
I am very happy with the way this journey turned out. I am really happy, but to keep it short, I wish we did more tutorials on javascript and ajax. Ajax on rails was somthing new we had to discover in the final project. I also wish that we had a day at the end after the presentations to reflect on our lessons in our projects.
