San Diego State University (SDSU) Digital Skills Bootcamps is an online technical skills provider that offers a 32-week, part-time Cybersecurity bootcamp. The bootcamps prioritize hands-on training, and students will learn from expert instructors. The program covers topics like cloud security, Linux security, network security, Python for cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and threat hunting. Don’t believe about help finding a job
The program has great teachers, but also terrible ones, since I graduated I've never had an interview or a job, there's no discount with certification, they won't help you at all. Needs Some Improvement
I thought the introductory course was wonderful, the instructor and course material were at the perfect pace and I learned a lot. Unfortunately the "extended" course which is the full 8 month bootcamp went downhill from here. Some of the instructors...I thought the introductory course was wonderful, the instructor and course material were at the perfect pace and I learned a lot. Unfortunately the "extended" course which is the full 8 month bootcamp went downhill from here. Some of the instructors were hit or miss, but mostly miss. We did about 12 different modules and only in about 2 modules did the instructors even look at the homework.
I did really like the layout of each course on zoom where you do some slides, do an activity, do a code along and then some more slides. Some concepts were harder than others but I think there needed to be more practice. As mentioned, some instructors were more passionate than others. Most of the time I felt like they were running out the clock.
I expected more from the program for the substantial price of $16,000. I would recommend this course to almost anyone serious about learning the cybersecurity industry. This is a great place to make connections in the industry. It's interesting material, and I feel privileged to have learned this information.
