Skillcrush is a woman-owned, independent, online coding & design school founded in 2012. Skillcrush offers both free and paid programs, including the self-paced Break Into Tech + Job Guarantee program, which prepares students for entry-level positions in front end development and design. Skillcrush is on a mission to empower career changers — with a special focus on women and BIPOC — with the technical skills they need to transition into higher-earning, more fulfilling and flexible careers in tech.

Students who enroll in the Break Into Tech program will have access to both the Front End Developer and Designer career tracks. The curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Github, visual design fundamentals, and more. Once students complete the technical skill building portion of the Break Into Tech (about 16-20 weeks), they receive 180 days of hands-on job search support including 1-on-1 and group coaching, and the opportunity to interview with Skillcrush employer partners.

Skillcrush is an open enrollment school, so no application is necessary. Skillcrush has trained over 20,000 students, and has an over 90% success rate of placing students in qualified jobs with an average time to get hired of 8-10 weeks.

Skillcrush offers tuition assistance for people who are unemployed, full-time students, and current or former military service members. Skillcrush encourages students to email hello@skillcrush.com to discuss payment options.

    Best Value on the Market

This course has exceeded my expectations.  I had created a couple of wordpress sites on my own, but the end result didn't look very professional.  So I looked into free information and took some inexpensive courses.  I learned some, but when I got stuck, I was stuck.  SkillCrush is awesome because the design of the courses is very well thought out to get you from ground zero to web developer easily. Not only are the courses very high quality, but there are instructors that give you feedbac...

    Break into Tech Blueprint

I'm really enjoying the way this program is structured, the way the information is provided, and the support I receive from skillcrush and other learners.

I'm in my mid-50s and have been in Tech related jobs since the 80s. However, skills such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, were skills I never learned on the job. So, I'm taking a temporary retirement to learn these skills. Skillcrush courses are very achievable, and when I struggle, I have a great support network in the Slack group for ...

The logical explanation of code I was looking for

I've been freelancing as a web developer and designer for the past two years trying to make do with free and cheap courses. I'd learned a lot, but unfortunately most of the coding classes I was taking tended to follow a "if you want it to look like this, then do this" type of logic that ended up in me having to memorize lists upon lists of properties and not understanding the relationship between them.

Then along came Skillcrush. I enrolled in their 10-day bootcamp and already I w...

    WordPress Developer Blueprint Review

Skillcrush is the best! The course material is comprehensive. I know I'm not being left with large gaps in my knowledge. I love that all the videos have a transcript attached which makes note writing a lot easier.

I have taken other online coding courses where I was often left confused and with no one to turn to. With Skillcrush I know exactly where to go when I need help, and I get an (actually helpful) answer within minutes. Also the instructors are so nice!

Skillcrush - Fun Coding and Worth It!

I've managed to make it through the full set of modules in the HTML & CSS coding coursework and just need to get a domain name now.  It's impressive as I had no previous knowledge of coding and it seemed to be a big mystery to me to start with.  But, I highly rate the teaching style and engagement - learning always works when it is fun and you want to learn more and more and practice and practice...I'm managing the Break Into Tech Blueprint course whislt also doing a...

    Skillcrush review (so far)

I do I recently became a stay at home mom needing a job. Then I found SkillCrush. After looking into it I finally decided to apply to the “Break Into Tech” Blueprint.

As a complete newbie to the tech industry it was a bit overwhelming to start, but the way the course is built, it really made it easy to learn. Furthermore the help given by all instructors is great, they are really there for you giving you insightful support. I have a long way to go, but I’m looking forward to the e...

    Break into the tech blueprint

I’m really happy I found Skillcrush. The Instructors are amazing and helpful. The whole course is really good. They don’t gove you all the answers which is good, because you need to find it on your own or with their help so you can learn more things and practice. I highly recommend to everyone who wants to change carriers or want to learn some new skills. 😊

    Great Place to Learn

After spending most of my career in sales, I decided I needed a change.  After extensive research I chose Skillcrush to learn the skills I would need.  The course work is self paced and appeals to a wide range of learning styles and skill levels.

The staff is excellent in responding to questions quickly and effectively.  The counseling sessions are one on one and very informative.

    excellent platform to learn

I was a beginner when started to learn with skillcrush how to build a website. I enjoy learning with skillcrush a lot, it explains the learning material in details and many times, slowly step-by-step. I especially like that there are not only texts but also videos (in which the teacher really enjoys what she does! [plus point] I appreciate very much that the skillcrush staff answers my questions quickly, they really care about the students. I offer everyone skillcrush with pleasure!

    Skillcrush is great!

I started my tech-journey in another online coding bootcamp but it wasn't what I needed, so I decided to switch to Skillcrush. It provides a great teaching platform that includes videos, quizes, and course work that educates me in the way I learn best. The Skillcrush Slack community is great for connecting with fellow students and mentors who can help solve the tough questions. Overall I am really enjoying learning coding and highly recommend Skillcrush!

    SkillCrush is the best!

I come from absolute ZERO tech background. I'm currently working working full time, but learning to code in the evenings (classes are about 2-3 weeks, but its 'work at your own pace'). So far, I just completed the first course, "Skillcrush 101." That included learning HTML and CSS and coding my first website (and launching it this last week) all in about two months for me. I am so surprised that I am learning these new skills so easily through the SkillCrush moduels. It is cha...
