Uplift Code Camp

I decided to join the self-paced Javascript course mainly to learn about the basics, which would unblock me from the concepts I wanted to know. However, I learned more than just Javascript - I gained new knowledge on tools, references, and techniques to solve coding problems. Additionally, Sir Rowell had been helpful throughout the journey, and his feedback, especially on our code, was very valuable since it helped us improve our approach to solving problems. Read less

I inquired and did the pre-test and interviews in many boot camps in PH, but I chose to enroll with UPLIFT.
Why? First, they reply fast to my multiple questions. The videos on their SNS page, the reviews and testimonials of their past students, and easy to access application page also helped me get myself out there. Once I did the steps in the applications, I was already scheduled for an interview at my own convenient time. Someone reached out and make sure there are the next steps for me to do. That makes "entering a new word" easier.   Not only that - they laid out different payment modes and opportunities on how I can join considering my capacity.

As a career shifter, unsure if I'm able to learn coding & tech, they made my decision to challenge myself in a new field more sensible and doable. And that decision landed me now here, as an enrolled student starting this new challenging adventure with them.

As an applicant and currently a student at Uplift Code Camp, I can say that this is the best coding boot camp ever! The instructors and staff at Uplift are amiable and approachable. They provide quality education and rest assured you'll learn from them. 
One thing I also liked about Uplift Code Camp is they have well-organized learning environment and they let their students have fun and learn at the same time. They also provide reflection sessions which is very helpful to me as an individual.

Overall the experience was great! The course materials, video tutorials were taught in a manner which people with zero knowledge can easily understand. What I appreciated the most is whenever you have questions, the instructors are very much approachable and you can even request for a one on one consultation.  Read less

My uplift experience was pretty amazing from start to finish and even after I got a job as a cloud infrastructure software engineer. My Instructor was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and follow. The sequence of the curriculum are quite strategic. They also have well being programs, CV assistance and HR/Tech mock interviews aside from learning the lessons. They will let you experience both individual and group project. My Instructor sir Jag really taught me well not just coding but also the best practices. The Staffs and even the CEO are easy to reach out. They also have a channel wherein you can ask a question regarding codes or even share your hobbies. So for me Uplift wasn't just only a great coding Bootcamp but also a community that you can rely on.

PROS:
The Instructor will make sure everybody follows even the students with no zero programming background. They have a community that you can ask anytime while learning or even after graduation. The HR staffs will usually ask you if you are doing alright while learning. You will learn about the best practices.

CONS:
For my experience the students specially with current work need to make sure that their time is well managed because they need to make projects aside from learning.  Read less

Uplift Bootcamp helps me to dive into tech industry. Not only it taught me the knowledge and skills to develop a website/app, it also boost my mental health and exceeds my expectations.

Pros: Approachable instructor and the best teacher assistant.

Enrolling in Uplift was one of my best decision because looking back at myself 6month ago vs now I can tell that I have learned a lot and uplift helped me on paving my way as a web developer either backend or frontend. The instructors were accommodating Shout Out to Sir Jag, Marvz, Pabs, JC, and miss Jem for being very helpful in answering all my coding and non-coding questions. The curriculum is well-organized and the student just needs to follow them step-by-step. Even though the survival rate is very low but rests assured if you survived the 6 months of intensive training it means you are already well equipped to start your tech journey as a web developer. The first half of my 2022 has been progressive, even more so, I was able to land a job in tech in less than 3 weeks after the 6-month program--thanks to Uplift.

I also appreciate that the instructors were approachable and generous in giving feedback. If there's one thing that can still be improved, it'd be giving feedback regularly, let's say once a week or twice a month at least. Getting feedback is crucial in effective learning as it is the student's basis on whether s/he needs to exert more effort and how much, in order to get passing grades and acquire a certain level of skills needed to land a job. It'd also be better if class time can be further maximized by simplifying discussions as it will make room for other important topics. Good thing it was very easy to book a consultation with the instructors if ever we had more questions. The projects we had to create were also helpful in our learning and job hunting itself.

Overall, it was an awesome experience and I'm glad I chose Uplift. The tuition fee may not be cheap, but the value that I got from the Uplift community is definitely worth more than that amount.

I am a student in academic institution also attending a bootcamp, at first, I was hesitant to join because, I doubt my self, what if I cannot manage may time, but now, I finished this course and participating event in the community of Uplift Code Camp, This is the best bootcamp. I really loved the program. Note that on my side, I was able to do 2 part-times because of my schedule of work (I did 2 1/2 month on 2 part time schedule). I started at Feb 2021 and graduated Dec 2021. The instructor(s) are all knowledgeable. The schedule was easy (it was 6-8pm, had no conflict with my work. I took their "talk to instructor/assistant instructor at a scheduled time" to learn more about the concepts, I like the free trainings, the parlor games and also HR/Tech interviews in the end. I also like all of my batchmates, but unfortunately, at the time of graduation, only 5 of us are left (including me). I wanted to attest that Uplift Code Camp wanted the student to succeed, and they are arming the students with the knowledge that they need in order to succeed. I wanted to say that I am one of the few old students that have applied for the boot camp. I wanted to mention that I am coming to the boot camp with (a little) programming knowledge. In the end, they will help you in getting into their partner companies, if you pass the HR/Tech interview. Read less

Uplift is the best place to start if you want to learn developing full stack web applications. Every new topics that are given to the students are to be tested by providing them projects to apply what they've learned. They are also focused in helping the students to understand some of the topics that have a large learning curve and the instructors are always available whenever us students have questions. One of the things I also noticed is that they really want to prepare the students that want to transition to a web developer career. I attended this bootcamp as part of a company-sponsored enrollment, and it was a great experience. The program is both fun and challenging, providing an immense amount of technical learning. Beyond just coding, I really appreciated that they cover essential professional skills like communication and project management, which are highly relevant to my daily work.

The curriculum can feel a bit fast-paced at times. However, the instructors allow room for adjustment to help you keep up. Because the material is highly technical, you definitely need to allot extra time outside of the sessions to study and fully grasp the concepts. Overall, it’s a rewarding program that delivers excellent value for both individuals and corporate teams. Read less
