Product Management

I was at a turning point in my career where I felt I needed to be challenged and be in an environment where I can move fast and see results. My first time going through the lessons was a breeze, because I really treated it as a gym where you go through the motions preached day in and day out by the coaches. I saw results a few months into the process, where the conversions from applications led to many rounds of interviews. That is when I learned that I must put in the reps and keep at it. This is not a simple bootcamp, especially when you’re in a non-tech role trying to transition to tech. What you are looking at is a bootcamp that will change your perspective and mindset on how you approach everything from making career changes to decisions about life. If you are dead set on making a positive change, then this is a program you should consider seriously. 

I've used the PG materials and member portal a second time this year during my current job search,  when I'm up leveling my PM role to more senior roles.  I've found the interview prep and offer negotiation materials just as useful as the first time around, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much "muscle memory" I had from going through the program about year ago.   The method works and I highly recommend it.  Pros: Clear, actionable advice for every step of the interview and offer process. Very responsive team. 

Highly recommended, this is the real deal! In Product Gym they say, “this is a gym and not a spa”, it’s not going to be easy but anything worth getting takes work. You get what you put into it. The resources/knowledge available are outstanding, above and beyond what you could find any where else. You need to put in the time, the effort and be consistent through out the whole process (very much like the gym). The results will come, and it will pay dividends! I only wish I had done this sooner. The community is amazing and supportive, great coaches and knowledgeable instructors.

The program is intense but definitely gets quick results. I was very quickly getting over 10 interviews per week and landed my first offer 5 weeks after starting to apply. They have a lot of great tools and methods that I wouldn't have known about otherwise to keep moving past 

I joined Product Gym, started the full program with branding. It is amazing, you get an in-depth review of your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn. They look through everything and after an iterative process only approve the best version of the documents. Trust them on this process because it has immediate results.I started applying on 01/28/2022, I had an offer in hand for a target company and city by 02/18/2022. Before PG I wasn't even getting a callback. So branding is worth it!Next is skill training, PG has weekly twice coaching calls and weekly twice classes to get you up to speed for interview prep and even on the job skill development.Their focus though is specifically to get you hired and get you real PM experience, so that's how the program is designed to get interviews, practice, and get hired.Lastly, it's a lifelong membership with the PG community. You can come back again for your 2nd, 3rd ... and so on jobs, and relearn or get updated on the newest interviewing skills and trends. You have a high level of interaction with members often materializing in a strong sense of community.I highly recommend PG!

Product GYM has a great program that has been put together. They guided me through the interviewing process step by step and helped a lot with the supportive information. It helped me to come up with a system in my head and get through interviews.

I've been blown away by the rigor I have learned to develop while in PG and the system they have set up to make sure I get a fair chance at the job I want. Kudos to Cody, Rich and the team of coaches in teaching us the right mindset and skills to crack a PM job. When I looked at my work history, I knew I had significant PM work but it was with PG that it came to light. Without PG, I don't think I would have been able to secure so many interviews and rounds and part of the reason is that they understand the hiring cycle really well. I want to also thank the community that was built in making this a collaborative, friendly space for us to share lessons learned and help each other as we searched for the right opportunity. I would 100% recommend PG to anyone wanting to break into Product roles and let them know the process works!The right review is the one that also helps the business improve so here are my two cents as a member of PG on things they can improve on:1. Circle and Jira are not good. The whole point with PG was that the fees more than make up for the time I would lose in salary terms if I did this alone. Time is money here. If I'm waiting for a day or two because notifications on Circle are poor, that defeats this. Same with Jira emails. I'd rather have an annoying Slack or Discord pinging me all day with notifications of something I need quick help on.2. The whole non-target city doesn't work post COVID and PG needs to work on this. It's more non-target companies (that may be in your own city) versus ones you want to work in that offer remote. Many companies I applied that said 'NYC' later said we offer remote so it ruined the staggering of offers for me because they became very attractive companies and this is sometimes realized in later interviews.3. There should be some kind of Zoom allowance or the platform they use should have event management features since many of us members get together to practice and PG would benefit by adding structure to this and bringing it in-house.

Product Gym completely accelerated my transition into product management. Their expertise, coaching, classes, forums, and community help me land my PM role. It is a gym, not a spa. You definitely get out what you put in, but they are guiding you every step of the way. They do a good balance of teaching concepts and interview coaching. Everything thought is applied to the interview process in order to become a great candidate. 

Best in class for product manager interviewing. Nothing will prepare you better or make you feel more confident in yourself as you transition into a career in product. The curriculum is extensive and leaves no stone unturned. I would recommend Product Gym to anyone. Worth every penny.

My experience with Product Gym has been incredible so far! There is so much support throughout the process of finding a product manager role, from resume review to negotiating your offer(s). You also have access to a plethora of resources that help you succeed on the job. The classes offered are very informative and give you the chance to connect with successful product managers in the industry. Overall, I am very pleased with the entire process. You do have to work hard to achieve the results, but are fully supported through the process. 

Product Gym is a solid bootcamp and amazing community for those who are serious and determined to follow their dreams and take massive action as Tony would say! Invaluable resources, amazing group of people that will help you, guide you, motivate you, hold you accountable in your journey to become everything you dreamed off.But you will have to put in the work, nothing worth having is handed on a silver platter :)Join the family and Good Luck!

My experience with PG was amazing! You have so much information/videos to succeed in your next PM role. The community is amazing, full of highly motivated people and easy to reach out. I had 27 interviews in total, the first one on the 9th Dec and my first offer on the 18 Jan! I only wish I had discovered Product Gym years agoIf you are like me and tried everything else (side projects, certifications, leader sponsorship)  to start your product career to no avail then stop and sign up for Product Gym.   It will be the best investment you make to start or enhance your product career.  I have tried all of the above and while it help my knowledge base it did not help me land an offer.  The training, resources, and coaching of product gym, as challenging as they can be, make all the difference.  They helped me walk, talk, and act as a product manager.    I have never had so many interviews in my life.  I only wish I had discovered Product Gym years ago. 

Product Gym has some of if not the best information available to help you land multiple product management offers. The program breaks down the interviewing and hiring process into a formulaic science that is destined to succeed when consistent effort and persistence is applied. From my experience the information I learned and applied from the Product Gym program, I was able to receive numerous offers within a few months of registering. 

Product Gym process just works. This is the only program out there that will help you from scratch. When I say from scratch it means it starts with the mindset and not resume. After joining Product gym, I realized how important mindset could be for getting a product job. Going in the right mindset sets the stage on how to even think around bullet points you would put on your resume. Product gym helped me all along in the process – resume, applying at scale, recruiter phone screening, hiring manager round, stakeholder interview round and the case studies. I began my Product Gym experience when I was sure I wanted to transition to a product manager, but wasn’t sure how to get attention from my ideal companies and industries.  Since joining PG and the community, and following it’s path - I’ve received multiple offers thanks to the course content, resume reviews, and approach.  I’ve gained a sense of confidence and assurance in my ability to interview and be seen as a capable product manager as well.  In addition, I’ll still have access to the resources after I land my next role - which I know will be very helpful in the future.

I first found Product Gym’s free resources online via their blog and Youtube and was blown away at what I was learning. Since joining Product Gym, I have developed a sense of confidence and expertise to confidently secure offers at top firms as well as built a community of other like-minded professionals. There simply is no other program like Product Gym with strong resources and coaching for aspiring and experienced product managers. I highly recommend this program for any professional who wants to excel as a top-paid, top performing product manager. Although my biggest challenge with Product Gym was the investment (both financial and of my time spent completing the courses and framework), I would say the reward outweighed the challenge: since joining, I received an offer that has DOUBLED my top compensation from my previous role as a PM at a top financial services firm. 

Joining Product Gym is the best decision I made in my PM job search journey. My favorite aspects of the program are:1. What ProductGym does, is enable you to get a job as a PM. Becoming a good Pm is not what they do. They don’t sell diplomas and classes. What they give you, is a sure path to a PM job even with no experience, and if you’re experienced, a path to a better job. They enable you to go get the job. Period. I’m an experienced PM who held leadership positions, but never did more than a handful of interviews in the course of my career to get there. Needless to say, for a role in a larger company, I needed some support. How they helped me:
Got my CV in shape
Taught me to apply to 30 companies. For a fee, they even apply for you. Talk about time optimization.
Got me 10-20 interviews per week, over the course of 1 to 2 months.
Helped me easily breeze through round 1.
Helped me figure out how to handle R2 and subsequent ones.
Helped me navigate offer stage, and negotiate through it.
Their fee isn’t cheap. That said, it paid for itself many times over for me, as I got a job faster, with more seniority, at a higher comp, and they helped me negotiate better comp as well.

Product Gym was easily worth the investment. It was what finally helped me to break into product management after many months of trying alone unsuccessfully. Breaking into PM is hard, and if you think you can go at it alone, you’re welcome to try (personally, I got 0 interviews when going at it alone). When that doesn’t work out, there’s always going to be the community at Product Gym. They’re going to teach you all things product management, help you with branding, every step of the interview process, as well as what to do after you receive an offer. It got me into the best position to compete for PM jobs, and I’m fortunate to say that it worked out.
