I've attended the Product Management course at Brainstation, London.
The course was 8 weeks long, one evening per week.
The instructors work in important companies as PMs, therefore very experienced and knowledgable.

The course involves a final presentation about your product idea - expect to spend an extra two to three hours a week for this.
During the class, students are provided with real industry examples as well as feedback and suggestions about their projects.

I personally enjoyed learning how to identify problems and validate hypothesis and solutions through professional frameworks.
Overall, it's a great short course for those who already work in the industry but want to transition into a product management role. Read less

I come from a technical background which helped me staying easily on track with this course. I would imagine that people starting from scratch might feel intimidated by the workload but it is definitely a very insightful course. I started the course knowing that communication with the instructors would be the essential part, so their availability to talk and answer questions was great and fundamental to get the most knowledge out of them.

I would have preferred to have less focus on the coding and way more on the statistical tools. Maybe explore more of the machine learning world. Read less

I took the 8-week online product management course at BrainStation Toronto. I left each class buzzing with excitement. The course is holistic, fairly comprehensive, and offers a sampling of the skills required in product management. Instructors are highly knowledgeable and provide examples from their jobs at Amazon and Capital One, which I found tremendously interesting and insightful. 

One criticism: I felt the time spent on Agile methodology (2 classes) could've been better spent on learning more about metrics and go-to-market strategies (1 class). I felt that the curriculum on Agile wasn't as effective as it could've been (lots if info and vocabulary with few take-away skills). While I found the models and ways of thinking that we learned throughout the course to be very helpful, I was hoping to get a bit more technical training regarding product management analytics. 

The students in the class were engaged and from various professional backgrounds, which made for really interesting comments and questions. The instructors always provided helpful responses and encouraged class participation. 

By enrolling in the course, I also starting receiving BrainStation's newsletter showcasing their monthly events and I attended two of them. One was a career panel for product management and product marketing and the other was a networking event. While neither event yielded any career opportunities per se, simply attending them, meeting other Toronto techies, and being exposed to professionals from many different industries inspired me to hone in on my next career move. 

It's only been two weeks since I made the decision to transition into the financial services sector (from media and entertainment), but I've already set up a couple meetings with professionals in that area and this certificate from BrainStation has definitely boosted my confidence on this journey.    Read less

The period of the Bootcamp is short, just 12 weeks, and packed with tons of highly technical stuff - mainly machine learning models.  Almost every week we had assignments with not much time to work on.  But we learned the basis a data scientist today should know and how to go further by ourselves.  The educators spend as much time as possible outside the class to help us individually.  Also, the sense of community and networking - with classmates, other programs' students, educators, school staff, and alumni, is real.  Thank you BrainStation!  Read less

The course was well structured. All instructors ( Craig and Scott) are very knowledgeable and experienced. Every class was built in a friendly manner. I recently completed the UX Design course from Brainstation and it was a great learning experience. The course instructors, Carlos and Dean, were always easy to reach and very helpful. The course provided a very good overview and understanding of all the design processes and steps. You are also taught the basics of using Figma, design thinking, interviewing, etc. and you are able to put this knowledge into practice straight away.

I would recommend this course as a great starting point to anyone who is looking to make a career change into the tech industry.  Read less

I was worried it was going to be like other courses i had taken before with a lot of lectures and little practice. Also, I had no experience with data analytics and wasn't sure if I was able to wrap my head around the topic. None of these happened. Instructors had lots of experience in the area and knew how to explain complex topics. All lessons had tons of practice exercises and collaboration among classmates was amazing. I had an amazing experience during my Data Analytics course. Drew and Nathan are excellent teachers! They are both patient and supportive. They also explain very well the topics and answer all your questions. I recently completed BrainStation's Data Science course and I am very happy with the results. The course was very well-structured and the instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a lot about data science, including data cleaning, analysis, visualization, and machine learning. I also had the opportunity to complete several projects, which gave me hands-on experience with the skills I learned.




One of the things I liked most about the course was the project-based learning approach. This allowed me to apply what I was learning in real-world situations. I also appreciated the fact that the instructors were always available to answer my questions. They were always willing to help me understand the material and they were always patient with me.

I recently completed Brainstation's Digital Marketing course and I have to say, it was an amazing experience.
