We learned the basics of data retrieval, processing and analysis. The classes took place in-person in NYC. The class schedule worked for me as I could attend after work. The instructor was awesome and very good at explaining on a higher level as well as breaking down the concepts for us. The class setup was good, and the office overall was renovated so it was a great experience. After a couple classes of intro, we were encouraged to think about our final projects for submission. We had to choose a good-quality data set, get it approved by the instructor, and manipulate it using MySQL, pose questions about the dataset and work to find the answers, draw conclusions, visualize the insights using Tableau, and communicate the findings. The course concluded with a final project presentation to my fellow classmates. I learned a lot, and recommend it if you'd like an intro class. Should I?, Is it Hard or Not so Bad?). Now I know a lot more than I did 8 weeks back! And I actually enjoyed most of it. Instructors and class mates were great. Overall it was an 8/10. I just think that I have so many more questions now, and I see areas that I want to learn more about. I wish that we had more time, but I went from someone who had a hazy idea what a wireframe was to someone who can quickly draw one in 2 months.
