I just completed the Applied Data Science Program: Leveraging AI for Effective Decision Making  conducted by the MIT Professional Education in collaboration with Great Learning. Right at the onset I would like ro say that the Program was very well paced, structured and managed by Great Learning. The  MIT Professors were, well, brilliant.The Program has a preparatory period with instructional  videos and live sessions led by industry professionals to help learners get familiarized with Python and concepts in Statistics and Probability. I had decided that I would do the full code version, meaning that I would use Python to complete all projects and assignments. Initially, I was apprehensive due to my lack of experience with the language, but the preparatory period helped alleviate these concerns.The Program is well structured into different modules covering various aspects of Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Deep Learning and Recommendation Systems.The weekday live sessions with the MIT professors covered various topics, and these topics were reinforced with practical case studies in the weekend sessions with the mentor.The learners are divided into groups and each group has a mentor. I particularly enjoyed these sessions with the mentor.Another highlight of the Program was the Capstone project which helped me delve deeper  and consolidate my understanding of the Convolution Neural Networks.I would highly recommend this program to anyone eager to explore Data Science and AI. It provides a strong foundational understanding, making it suitable for both developers and decision-making managers. As a developer, I found it particularly insightful.

I began to be interested in the concept "Prediction" since March due to the internship in one start-up company. They use machine learning to analyze sport video. After learning this program, I got more interest,especially the project to predict whick kind of customers would cancel their hotel booking. I had the privilege of joining a no-code artificial intelligence program in collaboration with MIT. I was truly impressed by the quality of the experience. The course was well-structured and included a variety of learning materials. The content was delivered through live (synchronous) and recorded (asynchronous) lectures, handouts, hands-on practice sessions, assignments, and quizzes. The mentors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to guide us. Our program manager, Ruchika, provided continuous assistance and responded to all our questions promptly. Great Learning is doing an excellent job in designing and delivering such programs. I highly recommend this course and look forward to joining more of their offerings in the future.

As a working professional, I appreciated the practical applications of the concepts covered in the coursework and materials. Even though creating machine learning models and writing python applications are not part of my typical offerings to clients, I found it very helpful and illuminating to go through the process of learning about various types of models available both publicly and commercially, choosing the appropriate model according to real world business scenarios, scoping the model configuration, tuning hyper parameters, and deployment ultimately deploying a working application with a complete user interface and REST backend. I recently completed the post-graduate certificate program offered by UT Austin via Great Learning. I started the program with a lot of enthusiasm, but very little knowledge regarding AI and Machine Learning. Program was structured very well, starting at a manageable pace with the basic concepts including basics of Python programming that are necessary for learning Machine Learning. As we went through different modules, the complexity and the workload were manageable. With completion of each module, I felt I was learning new skills that had direct relevance to practical applications. Additional learning material was very helpful when I wanted to go in more depth with certain topics. All in all, by the end of the program I definitely feel confident in my skills and feel like I have grown from novice to someone with practical skills in Machine Learning with utility in real world applications.
