    Affordable

Good for beginners. Still requires a lot of self-learning to supplement the material given through the course.

I chose Nucamp for a variety of reason. First was format. I dont do well with "code along" presentations. The videos mix some code with lecture notes. And the group workshops help. Second was rating and reviews. Last was price. I believe the price for value recieved was very good.

    Bootstrap

So far the bootstrap course has been easy to follow but the quality of the instructor is pretty low. The assignments were not graded on time and the communication was minimal. For $370 a month I expected a better instructor. Let's hope my next instructor is better.

Prepare to Supplement Your Learning With Outside Resources

Read the reviews carefully to determine how far into the bootcamp a student was before composing the review.  This review is made at the half-way point.

    The Good:
    • Engaging, enthusiastic instructors for the Saturday workshops
    • Low price point

    The Bad:
    • The quality of the instruction in the videos needs to be addressed
      • Supplemental learning on Youtube and/or Udemy is almos...

    Kudos to this Wonderful BootCamp

I had very brief Python exposure in my Computer Science program, our language was Java, but also, this was 7 years ago and I've since grown rusty in programming altogether.  I worked for a big multinational tech firm in the last 7 years,  but for projects where I felt I needed to improve my programming skills to 'get ahead'.   I want to become a 'programming-based tester' if I go back into Testing (Python Selenium), or alternatively build up to Python dev freelance work, or (Data Sci wor...

    Nucamp Course Review (Python Fundamentals)

What led me to enroll in Nucamp was the potential to gain new skills in order to be hired as a programmer. I currently develop Ethereum projects and looking to add to my stack in order to be eventually hired in the blockchain devops field. So far, it was the right decision. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. The content and the exercises helped me become a better Python programmer and I will now be able to use the langauge for testing my smart contracts, as well as use i...

    Web Development

I am considering doing some "retraining" to change up my career outlook.  I found Nucamp when  searching for methods to learn skills to "code".

I have taken only the Web Development course at this time, but really like the format and the content.

    Web Development Fundamentals

It was the best decision for me enroll into Nucamp. It was affordable and the instructor answered our questions on time and in order. I liked working on projects with other people in the group. It was very nice learning new things and immediately applying them.

    Great Experience

I've had a great experience thus far. It's been great to connect with other people in the class and trade ideas and study tips. Our instructor, Natalie Childs has been super helpful as well and entertaining. Would definitely recommend Nucamp to friends!

    Mediocre Curriculum, Good Instructors

Even at it's cheap price point, I don't think the Nucamp's curriculum is worth it. The course basically revolves around you watching vids for 6 days of the week and copying whatever the woman is doing in the videos to try to "learn" whatever concepts she's teaching ... and then attempting to prove that you get it by doing "code challenges". The last day is spent on workshops with an actual instructor to go over what we learned. However, I find that it's pretty easy to get lost since 6 da...

    Great Course so Far

Great Camp.  I would recommend this to others who want to learn Bootstrap and front end development.  I'm looking forward to the React portion of this course.

I learned a lot this past month!  Great way to get started in coding and learn the fundamentals.  If you're interested in learning to code, but don't want to fully commit until you know coding is right for you, Nucamp's 4 week HTML, CSS & Javascript introductory bootcamp is a great first step to take in your coding journey.
