Oh my god. What would I have done without Product Gym. Before I took this course, I was in limbo, agonizing in sales at a startup company and was hoping for a change. I heard about Product Gym from a friend and so happy that they introduced me. The mentors at Product Gym was always there to guide me whenever I felt like I was stuck and they always knew what to work on when I felt like I was at a roadblock. With their highly resourced data bank and mentors that worked at top notch companies, I was finally able to get out of the painstaking sales job and found the product management job I was looking for. If you want to become a product manager, this course if definitely for you.

Pros: Even with little to no background in Product Management, they will accept you and guide you to where you need to be. Shows they care about your future, regardless of your previous background.

Cons: Very intensive, but very necessary.

Former Product Gym NY student here and heard that they expanded to Los Angeles. If you are a bit questionable about taking this course, check out one of their workshops where they host top Product Managers from all kinds of companies to speak to people that are looking into product management. After I attended one of their workshops in New York, I was convinced that Product Gym is, in fact, the real deal and took their course without any hesitation. I had to move to Los Angeles due to family reasons, and Product Gym gave me the skills I needed to helped me land an amazing job here in LA and love the fact that they are expanding out here to help out other aspiring Product Managers that need some guidance. If you are looking for a career in product management, Product Gym is the way to go. 100%.

If you are looking for a career change into Product management, HANDS DOWN Product Gym is the way to go. I was previously working in I.T. and felt stuck with no growth at my previous job and needed a change. I heard about Product Gym from a friend that is a Product Manager in New York and asked him for advice and advised me that Product Gym put him in the right direction. Wanting a career change, At the time, I lived in Los Angeles and took their course remotely, and was blown away. Highly resourced and informative. They helped me fill all the empty gaps I had in regards to being a Product Manager plus more. They helped me tackle the interview process, having a variety of responses on how to answer specific questions, and even helped me build rapport with the interviewer. Product Gym surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend this course if you are looking to become a Product management. And I hear they are planning on expanding to Los Angeles in the near future!

Cons: Audio on remote access can improve a bit, but they are definitely aware of this issue

I took this course earlier this year with little experience in Product management and had a difficult time getting my foot into the field prior to taking the course. Thanks to Product Gym, I was able to build the backbone I desperately needed and also even helped me tackle job interviews and how to maneuver through the process. I finally found the job I wanted thanks to Product Gym and if not for this course, I would not know how my career would have turned out.

I heard about Product Gym from a friend that went through this program in their NY campus, and he was able to find his dream job after going through the course, When I found out that they were expanding to Los Angeles, I had to jump onto this opportunity and surely, it did not disappoint.

It was fairly intensive, but the mentors are always on your side, assisting you every step of the way. They helped me reassure myself, fortified my confidence, and taught me the skills I need to solidify the job I was looking for.

Highly recommend taking this course if you aspire to become a Product Manager.

Pros:

You can participate in their workshops in New York remotely; which I loved.

Cons:

Quality can improve, but improvements have been made. I talked to them about their video and audio quality and they immediately purchased a new camera, mic, and fix their wifi situation. Sometimes things can get tough learning from afar, but Rich and Cody are always down to help.

Product Gym created a great foundation for all things related to product management. Coming from a non-technical background, it helped give me a roadmap for all the things I needed to continue to learn in order to attain a product manager job. The instructors gave us invaluable feedback, support, and insights on what the life of a product manager is like (most if not all of them were Product Managers in well-known companies). Even after the class was over, I continue to learn through access to their events and slack forums that provide never-ending sources of knowledge. I definitely recommend you sign up for the class if you are interested in learning what it takes to get a role in product management.

(CONFIDENCE) It gave me the confidence that I too have already acquired similar skill sets over the years in the product owner role. It also helped fill in the remaining knowledge gaps. The course forces you to face your fears about applying, interviewing and discussing your skills sets and market knowledge in comparison to your peers.  I learned and grew my confidence by failing then getting back up. Thank you PRODUCT GYM for this major life lesson!

I didn’t take this course to get a new job.  I took the course because much more became demanded on me at my current job.  Through the coursework, I've learned a ton and feel more prepared in my career growth as a PM. I really appreciated the group projects/presentations and the camaraderie that our class developed by the end of the course.

Product Gym will provide you with a solid foundation in product management within 8 weeks. Like others have said, the course is demanding, and you get out of it what you put into it. My advice is to fully immerse yourself with the process.  Rich and Cody have a proven method that works and the results pay off - literally.

I was grinding away at the job hunting process with no avail.  Then, I came across Product Gym through a recruiter’s suggestion as he said I needed to work on my knowledge of the terminology.  In class, each week, we tackled a different aspect of product management, from scrum/working with developers to product marketing. The discussions were engaging, and I met a lot of great classmates. For me, the best part of the class was learning about common tools product managers use (Marvel, Sketch, etc.) and then using them in my course project. Pretty cool!

I had a great experience at Product Gym.  It was definitely worth the money. Our instructors were very knowledgeable, accessible (open to questions in and outside of class), and set up hands-on activities that you can't find in a book. Thanks again, guys!

Product Gym is not only for people who want to transition to be Product Managers, but also for experienced product manager to reinforce their skill sets and advance their careers.  The revamping of my resume, the coaching for the interview process, the feedback to those interviews and learning how to curate my pitch were all drivers to continued success in product management.   My money was well spent! In the course of a 12 month stretch, you can return to any class after your particular course is over. So I go back from time to time when I start getting that itch for a new position (and a higher salary ;-)

If you’re thinking about transitioning to product management, I highly recommend you take the course at Product Gym.   For someone with little to no experience with product management specifically, I now have thorough knowledge bank of information to get the job.  There are many hands-on activities that put you in the shoes of a real-life PM and forces you to work with your peers. That is the best part, working/networking with others in the class,  and getting the feedback from the organizers.

The level of precision provided in teaching hard skills was far superior to any other PM course I’ve taken.  From refreshing fundamentals to the application portion of the business I gained full confidence about what I was bringing to the table.  Yes, it was a gruelling process, but committed and succeeded.

Rich and Cody taught me the biggest lesson which changed my job search process.  They drilled into my head that the product manager job search was and is nothing but a numbers game.  Do not cherry pick. Go out there and rack up a massive number of numbers!! Drive action towards your goal like you’re trying to drive traffic to a website.  That is what helped me push my momentum forward. I then started to see the results in the form of call back and invites to on-site interviews. I finally landed a couple months into my time with Product Gym.

I went in hoping to brush up on skills and my confidence to apply for a sought-after senior level position within my company after that position was going to be vacated by the end of the quarter.  I had limited time. I knew I needed to accelerate my skill set and just have the confidence to walk into that room when the position opened. Rich and Cody and the course absolutely helped me identify the skills I needed to sharpen and helped me gain the confidence to interview by casting the widest net!  Long story short, I never took the job at my company, even though I received that offer. I went after an even higher paying position and landed my dream job!

I lacked direction when it came to my job search.   I didn’t know if my resume needed curation or if my interview skills were effective.  I kept on focusing on the skills portion and it got me nowhere. I was constantly stuck all the time. Both Rich and Cody were excellent in providing FEEDBACK on my interviews! It was exactly the guidance that I needed.  

If you have the drive and ambition to succeed, then Product Gym will help you attain your goal of becoming a well-paid product manager - they did for me!!

Not everyone has energy to maintain their full-time job and take classes.  If you are that time of person, then stay home, frankly. Because here, if you not putting in the effort, then dont waste your time.  Go to another course that will take your money just as well, but not give your the drive and focus to succeed. Go sit in class with the mundane.  This class was full of a bunch of sharks and go getters who brought out my competitive nature. Best part is, that competition increased our drive and cooperation.  We learned from each other. That’s what this class does - it brings out the best in you and helps you fully realize your potential. Yes, I could go on about the details but for me the real value came from the drive it re-instilled in me.  GO GET IT!
