Before joining Product Gym, I had enrolled in various Product-related courses and certifications, yet I was struggling to secure a position in the competitive 2023 job market. Despite competing against individuals with over a decade of experience at MAANG companies who had been laid off earlier in the year, I managed to double my salary after completing the Product Gym program.

Prior to Product Gym, I had also taken a different course/bootcamp, but it proved to be of no assistance in landing a Product Manager role. I spent an entire year searching for opportunities on my own before deciding to join Product Gym.

Product Gym is tailored for individuals aspiring to secure a product position, provided they are willing to invest the effort. The program aims to instill the mindset of a product manager, emphasizing the need for independent decision-making and action-taking. While the internal system has been recently updated to ensure comprehensive PM knowledge before applying, it ultimately depends on the individual to apply this knowledge effectively during interviews.

The course encourages a practice-driven approach, emphasizing the importance of repetition in honing interview skills. Members are advised to participate in as many interviews as possible, practicing with friends, family, and fellow Product Gym members.

Having lifetime access to the community, I am proud to be a Product Gym member and will continue relying on their support in the future if the need arises.

The good side:Product Gym does, genuinely, get a lot of people from zero PM experience to landing a job.The down side:The program itself is built on a lot of dishonesty.The biggest issue is that PG encourages applicants to put down "Product Manager" as their title in all their past experience. There's a decent chance you can get away with this, but I personally felt like I just didn't want to continue with this after trying it out.The reviews are incredible, yes -- but they withhold offering negotiation advice until students leave a five star review under their name! Keep that in mind as you read all the reviews.Almost all of the graduates that land a PM job end up in roles at 'non-target/non-tech' companies outside of the venture-backed / big tech ecosystem that has the highest prestige/pay. If you try to talk to the sales team about this, they're consistently not honest about this.Overall:If you put in the work, you can get a product job. But likely not a good one, and they'll encourage you to be dishonest, and they won't be honest with you throughout the process.

 
I wanted to share my incredible journey with Product Gym (PG). Joining PG was one of the best decisions I've made. Not only did I land my dream job at a Fintech company I admire, but I also became part of a supportive community that genuinely wants everyone to succeed.
Crafting the PM interviewing process was tough, but with PG's resources, coach feedback, and mock interviews, I saw results. Treating my journey as a product, setting goals, tracking metrics, and avoiding burnout paid off. It was a challenging but rewarding experience that helped me grow as a product manager and as an individual.
Before joining PG, it took me nearly six months to land just 20 initial interviews on my own. However, after being a part of PG for three and a half months, I completed 1,000 applications, 120 interviews, and went through 7 full recruiting processes. Despite rejections and delays due to economic uncertainty, I persisted and received an offer. Today, I’m so happy with my new job, and I'm grateful and thrilled for this opportunity.

One major pro of Product Gym is the exceptional guidance throughout the curriculum, with valuable live lessons, recordings, and mock interviews. The community is a significant advantage, allowing you to make friends, network, and learn from others in the same process. The coaches provide valuable feedback and support from application to offer negotiation.

Cons
In my experience, the only cons I can mention about Product Gym are the pricing, which may not be accessible to everyone, and the varying levels of difficulty individuals may face based on their backgrounds. Additionally, the process of interviewing and securing a job in product management can be physically and mentally exhausting. However, by learning from each experience and iterating quickly, you can increase your chances of landing an offer sooner. Overall, despite these challenges, Product Gym provides valuable resources, a supportive community, and expert guidance to help you achieve your career goals.

You pay so much money for things you can get on the internet for free or for not even 1% of the cost PG charges you. They sell you that this will be very personal to your PM journey and you'll have coaches all along the way. They don't tell you that it's probably 1 coach to every 100 students on there so you're looking at long wait times just to get a two sentence feedback on anything in which you have to resubmit any changes and look at even more days to wait...basically it will take you at least a week or two to really get anything done and who has time for that? No one can wait that long during interviews. You won't get your case study looked at on time so don't bother submitting it. They make you "turn to each other for support", but it's the blind leading the blind really. We need personal COACHING not a space with a bunch of people who are all in the same boat not knowing what to do. For such a pricey tag you would think you'd have more services, not whatever scam PG is doing. We could always just go get mentors which is what we all need. "This is a gym you have to do the work" ....yes no duh, but gyms also have PERSONAL TRAINERS which was absolutely sold to us (product manager trainers) and once you sign up they tell you differently lol. Do better PG and stop scamming people.

Product Gym has everything about getting a product manager job down to a science, though you have to do the work to succeed. How to write a resume and how to interview (every step of the way, every kind of interview), including specific interview types, are all explained. The FAANG companies are covered, as well as specific types of interviews along each step of the process. There are regular coaching calls, and many different ways to practice. If you want a product management job, this is the place to go to get one.

Product Gym has helped me get 3 offers of positions higher than what I was targeting within 3 months.Being very new to PM, i loved their program structure as it was inclusive and easy to navigate, regardless of someone’s experience in Product Management. Their staff is cordial and very supportive. I am still trying to fathom my new reality; to finally work in Product with really smart people and solve real problems.For many years, I sat on the other side of the table as a Recruiter to listen to the stories Product Managers and Developers shared with me in awe. And for many years, I let the idea of becoming a PM die down; believing I was not competent or experienced enough to take the leap. But that quickly changed when I got laid off and had nothing to lose.I signed up for Product Gym and worked my ass off; followed the instructions and successfully landed a PM internship at an EdTech startup in Stockholm. And ugh, it was extremely tedious and challenging. There were days I was just done. But I kept pushing and pushing, because I had a community that always backed me up. I honestly don't think I could have done it without PG’s program, coaching and community. Every part played a huge role in shaping my new dream and reality–to become a skilled Product Manager.Today, I am working as Product Delivery Manager at an IT consulting firm and part-time CPO at a tech startup. And believe me, none of this could happen without the PG community. I am so grateful for the entire journey, and once again, thank you again for making this come true for me and countless others out there.

I joined Product Gym(PG) in April of 2022, looking to make the transition into product management and like most of you reading this now I read all the amazing reviews with a slight sense of doubt as to if it would really work for me given that my career background was one that was somewhat unconventional. I had also looked at other options on the market but what set PG apart for me was the fact that they really focused on the interview process, which was not something I heard being talked about a lot with some of the other programs I was exploring. For me personally in my past experiences my biggest challenge whenever it came to finding a job was simply actually getting interviews, and so it was mainly because of that value proposition that PG claimed to offer that sold me on the program.As I started in the program, I am not going to lie, the first 4-6 weeks were extremely hard, because it requires a lot of time and effort to really dig down and get through the preparation and  training especially if you don't come from a field that is a natural transition point into product. But I stuck with it and followed the clearly outlined process to the letter and as time went on I started to see the results. By the end of the first month I was already getting multiple first round interviews requests a week, and over a 3 month period I probably averaged about 5-7 first round interviews a week, not to mention the ones that went on to subsequent rounds from there. This for me alone was worth the price of admission because as I mentioned I never ever used to get interviews, and so I am confident that if this could work for me then it could work for anyone else in a similar situation. So here we are, it is now August of 2022 and I have secured a job with a company that I am really excited to be working with. During this time I saw it happening for other people in the program but I still had that doubt in the back of my mind as to whether it would actually happen for me until it finally did. It’s still kind of surreal to me that in just over 3 months I made a complete career transition, where I will be earning significantly more than I did prior to enrolling in PG. Again it's really hard work and not an insignificant financial investment but the return on that investment has made it worth it in every way. I’m not one to usually write reviews but I am writing this because I know how this program has helped change the trajectory of my career and for anyone that is on the fence know that if you follow the process and put in the work you will most likely see results. The prorgam itself is pretty - helps you quite a bit with job search. Just wish the company did not say they will increase their prices by like 3-4x and then not actually doing that... otherwise the program itself is useful 

Product Gym has essentially perfected the process of transitioning to Product Management. PG provide you with the technical skills, interviewing skills, and, most importantly, the necessary mindset to successfully navigate the PM job search. The PG community is supportive and willing to share their experiences to help you improve. The Product Gym approach really works! You will get job offers if you follow their step-by-step advice and tips... but it does require hard work and dedication to the process. The system has been clearly laid out by Product Gym but if you're not willing to put in the effort daily to progress, you won't get the results that you want. Lastly, I appreciate that it is a lifetime membership, which definitely makes the investment worth it!

I was looking at a variety of options initially and ended up following through with Product Gym (PG) mainly due to its insanely positive reviews. While it is tempting to dismiss the perfect ratings as suspicious (as one would naturally be when something has all 5-star reviews), I still took that risk and went ahead with PG. ... Boy, it was and still is the best investment I have made thus far since looking to transition into product. Not only was PG worth my entire investment, but it actually does deliver what it promises it will, given you adhere to their protocols and guidelines when it comes to getting a product position (or, at the very least, an offer). I was a bit skeptical at first, seeing that my background is something I wouldn't necessarily anticipate would transfer to product well, if at all (I worked in the upper echelons of Hollywood/show business), but the fact that I still managed to pull in several interviews (and then some) proves that PG does, in fact, offer a proven, time-tested strategy in breaking into product regardless of your relevant background. Now that I am here writing this review, looking back at all the "suspicious 5-star reviews," I can attest that they are not suspicious at all and, in fact, all well-deserved reviews that truly represent the sheer flawlessness of PG's system and strategy.

I cant thank Product Gym enough for helping me get into the dream role in my career. I have one offer secured and expecting 3-4 in few days. I really wish I had found this early in my career. The staffs are very helpful, and the community is awesome. But, one thing - Join only if you can put efforts. You cannot just join and think that you will land up with offers. As the name suggests, it is a "GYM" and not a "SPA". You reap what you sow. Show your hard work and PG will take care of the rest.

My journey with Product Gym has been one of the most rewarding and insightful experiences in my career so far. This has been THE most pivotal resource in helping me understand and implement the skills/techniques that it takes to land a career in Product Management - I would honestly be lost without this program. The staff and community have supported me through the highs and lows of transitioning my career in media/entertainment over to tech. Throughout my journey at PG it was stressed over and over again how important it is to trust in the process, and that really could not be more true. Though I initially had doubts and lacked confidence - in the end the skills/abilities I gained are only second to the astonishing amount of confidence I now have in myself as a result of trusting in the process. I cannot thank this gym (yes, gym) enough for pushing me in my career journey and helping me get this far. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is willing to grow, push, and empower themselves in order to get results in their career. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Product Gym has truly changed the trajectory of my life. The support, guidance and motivation from the PG staff and community has been tremendous and proves that the learning materials and course ideologies are truly the foundation for member success. Product Gym is a very valuable program. It is total value for money, though the initial investment may seem high but landing job offers with much higher salaries helps achieve a high ROI. It offers one thing that other places miss - a focus on mindset to get through the tough journey of learning new skills and landing lucrative jobs. Along with the great coursework, awesome community, and super helpful staff, Product Gym made me feel fully equipped to start interviewing. With their approach, I was doing 6-7 interviews per week and landed an offer and more final rounds set up. I feel very grateful for all the direction and support.

Can't believe i am giving review right now as it wasn't long ago it was a dream for me to become a PM. I have made it now. The journey wasfull of lessons and on each critical moment PG coaches and peers were there with me to support. I was all over the place and applying without any structure earlier. After joining PG, I became more focused and structured in applying. PG provided amazing guidance in preparing for each round of interview and because of that i am here now with a PM offer. Product Gym offers one thing that other places miss - a focus on mindset. Prior to joining Product Gym, I had been apologizing for my “lack of direct product experience” and hoping hiring managers would “take a risk on me”. After joining Product Gym, I began to understand that no one needed to take a risk on me because I already had the skills and tools I needed to a great product manager - I just needed to recognize that before others could. This shift entirely changed the way I approached my resume, my interviews, and my overall attitude to the job search process. Along with the great coursework, awesome community, and super helpful staff, Product Gym made me feel fully equipped to land my first official Product Manager role at an awesome company, making more money than I ever thought I would! 

I joined Product Gym after getting disappointed and wasting my money on Product School. The approach that Rich and Cody take to help people to get their first product management job is practical & effective. The entire curriculum is based on the learning and implemented immediately model which is different from other providers where you have to go through the whole curriculum first and then career-related services come into the picture. According to me the best part of Product Gym is lifelong access to materials and community. I always recommend product gym to people looking to start their career in Product Management.

PG is simply at another level of its understanding about the hiring process. They know the exact process to get you hired and perform well as a PM. The process is tough and demands a lot of hard work and dedication. 
 However, if you put the hard work as expected in the 'GYM' as it is referred to, you will get the results. The program is structured really well to pay attention to every minute detail that goes into the job search. The course structure is good enough for you to learn the concepts and enable the candidate to not just land and offer but to do well in the role.
Only con: Sometimes you feel lost in first 2-3 weeks about the next steps. A little more interaction would help in that phase. Although after that you are on cruise control :)Keep up the good work PG team!

I am a product manager in the Bay Area and until this week, I had been at the same company for over 8 years. I joined PG not to transfer into product, but to develop the skills I needed to continue in my career.  I was skeptical about joining Product Gym at first, but honestly it was worth it. Product Gym helped me identify where I was falling short in interviews, understand how to market myself, and gain the confidence I needed to land a job offer.  Product Gym is a very appropriate name. Just like a gym, the results you get are directly related to the work you put in. During my interviewing journey there were many dark moments. Because I had been at the same place for so long, I was worried that my experience was so specific to the needs of the company I worked at, that other companies would only see me for what I had done rather than what I could offer. Hours of preparation and practice for each interview seemed to lead to rejection every time. It was demoralizing. My commitment to PG’s process and the resources PG offers  helped me stay on track, get past those negative thoughts, learn from my mistakes, and just keep on applying. After about a month and a half I received my first offer. If you are an existing product manager like me and you are feeling stuck in your career, Product Gym can give you motivation and the tools you need to find your next PM job. Their process worked for me, and if PG accepts you, it WILL work for you too.
