Learn Git at These 339 Git Bootcamps

I started the program in the summer of last year, coming out of high school, had no prior experience on Tech, IBG Institute had an amazing staff and provided me with valuable material that the market is demanding, something that colleges are not up to date with to provide for their students. Since finishing the program I immediately scored an apprenticeship with a Tech Company, and now having six figures job opportunities in front of me.

As a recent grad, going through the program offered at Operation Spark was the best decision I've ever made. I use to work for a small company in New Orleans as an IT desktop support, and going from the hardware side of computers to learning how to create web applications all on my own is quite a feat.

Yes the program itself is quite difficult, thats why the program is called immersion, but being able to offer real life skills in fullstack development, I wish I had this opportunity when I was younger.

TLDR: This course is a fantastic investment. You will learn what you need to know in order to get hired as a junior dev immediately upon graduation, as long as you are appying yourself.  

The long verison: 

I was in the most recent cohort, Jan 2018-April 2018. I had an excellent experience. Trip and Tom are awesome teachers. Trip was our main instructor and he is REALLY fantastic at explaining difficult concepts, and clearly puts a great deal of thought into how he delivers information in order for the students to understand it best. It's pretty incredible how quickly they get you up and running, and in a lasting way - you aren't simply memorizing, you're really, truly learning. 

By then end of the course, you will have the skills you need to be a junior full stack developer. I had no prior javascript knowledge going into the course, and before the course ended I accepted a job offer as a junior React developer here in Charleston. I'm in my first few weeks of the job now and it's going really well - I feel like I was well prepared, and my employers are surprised at how much I know already. 

Like any course, or really anything in life, you do need to apply yourself. Trip and Tom will point you toward the right door, maybe even turn the handle a bit for you, but you have to push the door open and walk through it yourself if you want to get the most out of the course (as it should be). They are encouraging of this and they create a really positive learning environment. Trip is especially sensitive to the emotional dynamic of the class, which I really appreicated - he is empathetic to the frustration that comes with learning and does his best to keep everyone positive and in good spirits even through the toughest parts of the course. 

Scool-life-balance: In the beginning there is not any homework. Any extracurriculars you do are up to you. I probably spent one night a week studying after hours to hammer in some concepts, which I'd recommend doing as a bare minimum. Once you get into the last 3 or 4 weeks of the course, you will be doing a good deal of work after hours to finish your final project. I know some folks had part time jobs outside of class, and if you have to do that you can pull it off - BUT, if you are forutnate enough to not have to work while in the course, I'd really recommend not working and just focusing on your studies. 

This is all to say: this course ROCKS and is well worth the time and money. If you're trying to change careers, this is a really fantastic way to do it. By the time our cohort graduated, half the class either already had jobs or were pretty far along in the interview process. JRS rules!!!!!!!

I am a graduate of Moringa school and I can attest that indeed this is the best coding bootcamp in Kenya and in Eastern Africa if not the whole of Africa. I joined Moringa school without any background in coding at all, I was a bit scared at first but thanks to the Moringa school curriculum design that is more customized to fit and accommodate both the University graduates who have a background in programming and people like me who totally knew nothing about the what a line of code looks like.

I first did Moringa prep that basically defined my foundation in coding then upon graduation I joined Moringa core where I specialised in Full stack web and software development. Through their job placement I got the position I now hold.

Apart from coding and software engineering Moringa school played a big role towards my professional development that is all the work around about all the soft skills. The institution is a real simulation of a work environment.
