Learn Penetration Testing at These 112 Penetration Testing Bootcamps

I am a single mom of a young daughter and I also have a full time job. I decided to join the boot camp because I wanted a career that I could be proud of and that would allow more flexibility in my schedule. 
During the boot camp, I had to grow parts of my brain that had never been used before. I had to work most nights and weekends, and sometimes I was exhausted. 
But on the flip side, I got to play with creative solutions, make “art” in my designs, and make new friends. I also learned a ton (zero to developer).
 Also, my instructor was amazing- so patient and helpful, and he went far and above his required time to push us through to the end. 
Most importantly,  I got to show myself and my daughter that you can do anything you set your mind to, and that hard work pays off. She and I both had to sacrifice during these 6 months, but it was worth it to show her what dedication looks like. 

The teachers in this program were exceptional, providing unwavering support throughout both the ups and downs of the coursework. Beyond the classroom, they also offered valuable guidance on launching a career in cybersecurity. Their dedication to their students' education and career success was truly commendable. This program not only equipped me with essential cybersecurity knowledge but also empowered me with the confidence and skills to embark on a successful career in the field. I highly recommend this program to anyone aspiring to enter the world of cybersecurity.

I attended this school online a year ago and have only great things to say about my experience.
The teachers are amazing, tolerant, motivated, and cheerful. The learning process is smooth and fun, you have the space to ask your questions and participate as well.

"I decided to embark on this course because I like technology and I was drawn to the idea of becoming a software developer. I retired as a classical ballet dancer after 20 years and decided to completely change my field of study, which required a tremendous emotional storm. However, through methodical study and measured approach, I always stayed present and never got ahead of my own thoughts.

I enjoyed every single challenge, but the biggest one is working accurately in such a short time. A three-hour class may seem long, but I assure you, it's not enough time. You need to always work ahead.

My humble advice to other students: if you are going to do the bootcamp, I can tell you, it is worth the time and effort. There is so much infrastructure around that will help you succeed, but you have to be willing to put in the hours (and endure some mental strain). As a retired ballet dancer who was used to moving and exercising for over 8 hours a day, in terms of mental effort, this bootcamp was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life: and I would do it again if I had to. I enjoyed every second of it."

This program helped me learn and grasp concepts I could not on my own so fast. Gained familiarity with Routing, Switching, Dynamic routing along with Firewalls, VPN's and troubleshooting. 

You learn a lot from your instructors but asking questions is a good way to learn more then the course material. Also, whatever the recommendation is for your computer specs get something a bit better it will help you a lot! I had to buy an emergency hard-drive from filling my 1tb. And ram seems like it's on short supply when your running two vms. It just saves you a headache if you get 32gb ram and like 2tb or more of storage. TDX cyber security professional boot camp gave me what I needed to get a foot in the door to IT. I built a solid cyber security concepts foundation and gained hands-on experience working in virtual labs. I was able to find a job and also further my education by enrolling in a Masters's program focusing on cybersecurity compliance. It gave me more than I needed, and I am grateful to have enrolled in the cyber security boot camp.

This was the first data science course I have undertaken, and I must say, it was worth the while.  There is a lot to study; the coaches provide extra materials that helps you understand everything. They are also very professional and designed the course curriculum in a way that’s suitable for all students.

The projects and exercises are very realistic, and once you complete 50% of the course, you are on your way to begin learning Machine, Deep Learning, and Data Science in-depth. 

The course is well structured, with self-paced courses and tutors were hands on ground to provide all the support I needed. The tutors took their time to break down complex concepts like as descriptive and inferential statistics. You'll also get a completion certificate at the end which is a major plus when job hunting.

I give my full endorsement to the Washington University Full Stack Development Boot Camp. My only regret is not taking advantage of it sooner, and if you're reading this, hopefully you won't wait as long as I did.

I spent 15 years in my first career, a full-time Middle School English teacher, but despite the time and commitment I was putting into my job, I rarely felt like my compensation matched the effort I put in to my job, but teaching was such a specialized field and when I thought about leaving, I always assumed I would need to spend lots of time and money if I ever wanted to change careers, so I habitually talked myself out of it. Finally, my wife and I reached a point where we realized that we would need some expensive medical help to expand our family through IVF and no teaching jobs where we were located in St. Louis offered insurance coverage for those procedures...I needed a change of career to a field that would support me and my family through this need, and that's what finally pushed me into looking for a change. After interviewing and researching multiple options, I ultimately settled on the Full Stack Coding Bootcamp through Washington University- St. Louis, and boy am I glad I did.

The program appealed to me in a wide-variety of ways. The most convincing aspect of this boot camp was absolutely the program's unique appeal to old-school and new-school methods of thought alike. In a six-month intensive boot camp, I would be exposed to the most up-to-date and groundbreaking technology and languages (sometimes these can go out of date/style during a 4-6 year degree path) while also having the prestige that a well-regarded University like WashU provided in the eyes of more traditional hiring entities. In reviewing upwards of 15 programs, this was a unique combination that was truly only offered by one place.

When the program began, I was worried because so many of the members of my cohort were younger or had done coursework to prep them for this class while I was coming in totally fresh. I quickly learned that the program adapts to fit the unique needs and personalities of the members within it. I cannot say enough kind things about my teacher, Tom, and my TA, Matt, both of whom took the time after their own full-time day jobs in the tech field to give us experienced, competent, flexible, and confident guidance throughout our course. More importantly, as a teacher in my "past life", I was impressed with the instructional style the program offered. The teacher and TA would provide instruction and demonstration of a skill, and then, in a breakout room with one or more peers, I would work through a coding activity with my peers that required the skill just reviewed as a class. This format gave me the support needed on activities that I found particularly difficult as well as the freedom to learn hands-on and "figure it out" when going through the activities with my classmates. Even if my classmates and I couldn't figure something out, our teacher and TA were constantly floating from breakout room to breakout room to ensure support was provided to those who needed it when they needed it.

I also really loved the challenges and group projects. With each weekly challenge, I found myself building full stack applications that could do things I only dreamed about designing before this program. The inclusion of three major group projects similarly allowed me to learn what it would be like to work collaboratively on a development project and truly prepared me for my career. More than that, I got an opportunity to work closely with a lot of people from different backgrounds than my own, many of whom have become valuable resources and close confidants during the boot camp process.

Halfway through my boot camp journey, I began applying to jobs and sending out my resume thanks in part to encouragement from my teacher and TA, who told me it was never too early to start getting technical interview experience. I was lucky to get a couple of interviews and actually got offered a job as a Site Reliability Engineer at Mastercard while my boot camp was still going on! Suddenly, I was making twice what I made as a teacher, working a hybrid position that gave me more time at home, and getting the necessary insurance coverage I needed so my wife and I could grow our family. I was making my dreams come true, and this boot camp had so much to do with that.

I am fully satisfied with my experience, and rather than pivoting away from boot camp and focusing on my new job, I've made the decision to commit myself fully to doing both for the remainder of the boot camp because of how valuable I found the content of the course leading up to my eventual hiring. Advice that I would offer to those considering this program is to do whatever it takes to get yourself enrolled. Make the leap of faith, block out the time in your life, let your support system know you're going to need them pushing you and keeping you motivated for the next half year and SIGN UP. For those who have already taken the leap, my advice would be that you get out what you put into this program, so don't try to skate by and work through the program with as little interaction with your instructors and peers as possible. The people who thrived in my cohort were the ones who talked during breakout sessions, who asked questions when reviewing concepts, who showed up to office hours before and after class each night, and who took advantage of the numerous resources offered by the program's strong support structure. I'll say it again (and a million times if one more person out there hears me): this program helped my change my life and that of my family. I am eternally grateful and can't say enough good things about it.

The weekly live classes with the coach were very helpful. Then they do additional live session which are not mandatory but id say is another great resource to understand the courses better. And the whole member of QS are very responsive and their goal is really for you to succeed in this field. 

This bootcamp taught way more than just a handful of coding languages, it taught me the best way to think like a programmer and how to learn new languages as new problems present themselves. Every instructor I had was great and they seemed genuinely invested in me actually learning the material, not just passing an assignment. This took almost every issue I have had with school and threw it out the window but was able to keep me engaged and accountable anyway. The career section at the end was invaluable and I still can't believe how straightforward it seemed to jump from a mediocre job with little future to the job I've always wanted and plenty of room to grow. I can't recommend this program enough, it genuinely opened more doors for me than I could have thought. Some of the instructors still reach out to see how I'm doing and to make sure I was able to reach all of my goals. Overall incredible experience, just make sure you are able to hold yourself accountable and put the hours in!

I was working at an automotive company in Detroit and our website was in need of more help than I could provide at that time. We had hired a few different web development companies but no one ever really delivered what we were looking for. So I decided to go to school to learn for myself.  I looked at multiple online bootcamps but MSU just seemed the best option all around, which was confirmed after speaking to the admissions staff who took the time to actually ask, care and direct me to the program that would best suit my needs. At this point I had ZERO schooling for web development and had been running a WordPress site only, had not had a computer class since the 6th grade. I was so nervous to begin but if you are thinking of taking that first step all I can say is..... DO IT!

I was assigned an exceptional instructor who brought patience, understanding, intelligence and real world practical experience and advice to the classroom. He was ALWAYS helpful, I ask a million questions (that's how I learn) and he has always made sure every one of us students fully understands the subjects and concepts he is teaching. Between the classes, the instructor,  office hours and tutors, the Virtual Learning Assistant there are so many tools available to assist you. They foster a team environment to learning and my teacher really made all of the difference in my learning experience. I knew it would be fast paced because it is a bootcamp but it is still enough time to get a good understanding of each module. Each week is a new module (subject) that layers on what you learned the last week. At the end of every week a challenge (assignment) is given to do on your own that is due the following week. Some weeks have starter code others must be built from scratch. It is very effective at teaching how to build from nothing and modify existing code. 

I went to MSU to learn how to fix our website and have found my one passion in life, being a web developer. 

Advice for new students or people thinking about enrolling? Follow the schedule, utilize the resources like office hours, tutoring, especially the resources the teacher will share in Slack as well as the weekly emails from the Student Success Advisor, those all contain REALLY good information that helped me learn. Work with the other students, we have a dedicated channel and server just to our class to ask each other for help and/or answer questions, learn in a variety of ways, watch videos, read docs, muscle memory, write examples, etc. Do not get overwhelmed! I tried to stay ahead of the challenges (assignments) and spend that 20 hours a week outside of class reading, researching, learning. I know it is a LOT but it you can change your entire life in 6 months with this incredible class from MSU. 

Cybertek has equiped me with skills that could have taken me a very long time to acquire, its fast paced but with persistence and had work someone who is interested can hack it.

There is no denying the ubiquity of web development. With the mass expansion of java script being the lengua franca of the Internet, many aspects of software development that once established a hierarchy based on deep foundations of computer engineering; this camp proves the value of full stack's relevance and its demand at the core of this rapidly evolving paradigm. With that said; however, it is as difficult as it is compelling. And, I'd say, for the faint of heart; nor dim of mind.

Before taking this course, I was a novice in Cybersecurity, but after I completed the course, I became very knowledgeable in privacy, security, and anonymity and more. Thanks to this course, I now understood the threat and vulnerability landscape through threat modeling and risk assessments. The tutors taught me the foundations of operating system security and privacy functionality. 

This course is designed for both beginners and intermediate experienced persons interested in mitigating the risk from hackers, Trojans, cyber-criminal, malware, trackers, and all online threats. If you fall within these categories, I will strongly recommend this Cybersecurity course to you.

This Bootcamp is Very challenging. 

From an Army Veterans perspective, this is truly a "Bootcamp" for the mind and intellect.

The concepts that are learned in AI Development could Be applied to other echelons of Life. The "Random Forest," "Dimensionality," "Inertia," "Optimization.." and many others. To Me, that was the most interesting aspect of the Bootcamp, how I can apply these concepts to Life itself.

I learned how to work "with" various AI Systems, and developed a thorough understanding of what AI truly is.

Specifically, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Prophet. We learned many methodologies, starting from basic Computer Science, to Python, to Machine Learning, to AI Ethics, to Neural Networks, to Transformers, to Classification, to Image Processing and Computer Vision, to Natural Language Processing. VERY Intense.

We applied Our knowledge to various Projects in a Supportive and Collaborative Environment. The projects that We came up with are VERY interesting. With subjects from Stock Market prediction to Celestial Object image classification. Very Cool.

It was a Great Experience.

The Staff are Very Supportive. The Instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, and Career Services are very engaging.


If You are interested in AI, Programming, Computer Science, or other Applied Sciences, I highly recommend this Program.

It is Very Complex, and Very Difficult, especially for a working Professional, or someone with limited coding experience. You have every means of succeeding though, and They Help You through every step of the process. 

Again, highly recommend if You are interested in Life Learning and Technology.

The American University Cybersecurity Program is the perfect choice to anyone who wants to start the journey of cybersecurity. The program provides the fundamental knowledge to learn from the basics moving forward to more complex and sophisticate topics. The most important is that provides a closer look of the real work experience with several practices, make it easy to get the skills required to perform and excellent job. 

In my case with a background of Electronic Systems Engineering, it gave much more to keep going to a more specialized career, update my knowledge and learn new things that I only dreamed before.

I joined this course in end of 2021. I learned network, operations systems and security related stuffs from zero. Then I found a job in the middle of 2022. The instructors were super interested and helpful. When I had any question about anything, I reached them easily. And even after graduation they helped my orientation. 

This bootcamp isn't about getting good grades and completing assignments. In the end, how much you learn depends on the amount of time and effort you put in. Coming from someone without any prior knowledge about software development, it is a beginner friendly program. I recommend you try the introductory course to see if it is something you want to invest your money in. You can learn most of what's in the curriculum online for free. The benefits of enrolling here are having many different instructors who are currently working in the tech industry, receiving feedback from them in real time, and building new connections. Personally, I had a good experience and I enjoyed learning in a classroom environment.

This course taught me so much about not only Cybersecurity, but also about how the economy functions with IT in it. The labs were useful and the teachers were very informative. The experience was invaluable!

As someone who had zero knowledge about coding, FSA was an excellent introduction to programming. Although the program was quite fast-paced, especially for those who are beginning, I appreciate how devoted the instructors and their assistants are to helping everyone.  Besides the phenomenal instructors and their aide, the fellow students you meet always make learning fun especially since the whole class all are reaching the same goals. You meet a class of experienced and inexperienced students willing to learn from each other which showcase during the final group project. FSA doesn't teach you specific technical skills, but also soft skills by preparing you post-graduation. FSA provides its students with a career coach who guides each student with tips and lectures on navigating a world post-graduate. I recommend FSA to students who are eager to learn the fundamental of programming, willing to commit their time and taking each day 1% to grow.
