The experience with BrainStation for the Product Management course was great! I got what I needed from this which was diving deeper into the Product Management space, which I had some prior knowledge in. Both Khaled and Parisa were great instructors - super flexible with their time, feedback and patience in answering our questions. My only development feedback would be how much emphasis this course places on technology vs not. For some folks in the class it was pretty clear that the concepts may be hard to put into reality and that came down to how much of a technology background they had. Spending some time generalizing these concepts may be helpful. Additionally, considering a longer duration for the course may be better as I think more time would have been valuable to go through certain topics e.g., MVP. Overall though I have nothing but gratitude for BrainStation. Thank you!  Read less

The course content was excellent -- it teaches you everything you need to know in order to start your journey as a product manager. You will, however, need to do much more learning to truly become an expert. Parisa and Khalid were incredible instructors who were available outside class hours to support us in whatever we needed. They've both reviewed my resume and given me advice. You should prepare yourself and set the right expectations: this course will not get you a job. As a matter of fact, in every role I've interviewed for, no one has asked me about this course. You may choose to use it to leverage your classmates for connections, however, the best thing you can do is to enjoy the learning opportunity.   Read less

I loved my UX course experience at BrainStation. The instructors are all very experienced and currently working for leading companies. That means they have tons of examples to help you go through your struggles and worries. The course is comprehensive and covers all aspects of UX design, so if you are new to UX, it's absolutely a great course to get started. If you have some experience, you can also bring your questions and ask instructors in person which is super helpful for you to better understand what can be improved. It's always good to go through the fundamentals and consolidate the knowledge. I highly recommend the course and I think it's designed for everyone.  Read less

This class was overall very engaging and helpful in introducing new tools for data analytics. I am fairly well-versed in excel, but hadn't used Tableau or SQL before, and I now feel comfortable using all of the tools for analyzing data. My instructor was very helpful and engaged, and truly seemed to care about ensuring we all understood everything. Working with classmates from around the world with different expertises allowed us all to learn from each other. 

The one thing I would say though is that this class isn't really for beginners. It tends to move fairly quickly. In our introductory excel lesson, one of the students realized they were not going to be able to keep up with the course because they didn't know enough about excel to understand the first lesson. Even having been fairly well-versed on excel prior to the course, the introductory lesson was quite intensive and not particularly intuitive compared to the excel work I am used to. If you do not feel comfortable with some basic equations in excel you might struggle with understanding exactly what each new formula is teaching you. 

Overall, if I knew someone was interested in learning an introductory data analytics course, and that they were comfortable with excel, I would absolutely recommend they take this course. Read less

This course was exactly what I was looking for before starting my first job. Claudio, the professor, and all of my classmates were amazing and dedicated people who were very committed to learning. The last 10 weeks were filled with new concepts, and there was never a time that I lost hope. Everyone was always willing to help, and the group activities allowed us to interact and participate remotely. The skills we learned in this course will undoubtedly help me move forward, and I hope that goes for everyone else.  Read less

I highly recommend UX Design Brain station. I have gained useful information. The instructors were knowledgeable and  gave detailed information.
The course is designed with up to date information and software. Through out the courses every content is explained thoroughly with informative feed back and detailed insight.

Although the curriculum is probably very common to what you'll find in other programs, I was impressed that the instructors seem to be very established in their field. One worked in digital marketing for Adidas and having that resource definitely made the class feel more like a guided class than just a series of powerpoint slides. Highly recommend! Read less

The course was very thorough and the instructors were knowledgeable and approachable. I think it's hard to get the content right for such a diverse level of experiences in the room, so didn't find that all the lessons were all that relevant or helpful for me, but managed to always come away with at least one good learning. After taking Brainstations ten week part-time web development online course I can most certainly say that it has been a great decision. The lessons were easily digestible, the instructors always within reach, the support team has been outstanding and the entire experience was very educational. Would definitely recommend.     ***** After some recent instances, I would like to update my review. While the course instructors are great, the curriculum is very light for the price it has attached to it. The majority of the first lesson is dedicated to introductions and course run-downs. The last lesson is just presentations for the most part.    Also, one fact that bothered me was that a company employee in charge of their marketing team I guess, hopped on the video call of our last class, and asked us to leave a nice review online, and said that she would give us a few moments to do that. Then she proceeded to wait while the class left those positive reviews.    The biggest thing that has bothered me was the sort of way they draw students in only to change their behavior once they are in. My learning advisor was pestering me with calls almost every week, till I signed up for the course, and then he just stopped answering my calls and emails. They also recently stopped doing in-person bootcamps unless you have a college degree which is weird because most of the people attending a bootcamp are probably not going to have one.    Another murky thing is that they don’t really provide scholarships like they say for the bootcamps, because if you attend their course then you only get the price of the course discounted even though you paid for that while a scholarship would be a reward.   It is a good school, but beware of small things like this, because they are going to come up, and this review just gives a better picture of the place. I took the web development bootcamp at BrainStation a very intensive twelve week experience. The program is very intensive and fast paced if you aren't fully dedicated you can quickly fall behind and either quit or continue the course but not get as much as you would have hoped out of it. If you are planning on being dedicated for twelve weeks and attempt to get everything you can out of the course then you will end up having the experience and knowledge to achieve what you want. I really enjoyed the course, especially the interactive portion of each lesson. Irfan and Nick were very helpful in explaining the topics well and staying engaged. I do wish there was a grades component to the course because anyone and everyone can pass the course with minimal effort.  Read less
