If you are already a designer and proficient with adobe products, I think this will be a good course for you. They mainly teach theory and UX ideas, and jumping in with your design skills will be perfect. If you are not a designer or proficient in adobe products, you might have a hard time, I suggest brushing up on your design skils first before taking this course. I would really recommend BrainStation.  The best learning experience I have has to date.  As an adult who is making a career change, I was introduced to BrainStation as an option to take courses online.  I learnt more than I expected and our instructors were phenomenal.  They allow you to learn cutting-edge techniques that the instructors have so much experience with while working in the field.  You get to learn the most in-demand concepts, skills, and tools.  You gain Hands-On Experience and work on projects in a collaborative setting (both online or in class sessions) to apply current concepts and techniques and develop your skills.  The Digital Marketing course included topics like:
Brand Strategy
Social Media
Analytics
Search Marketing
Email Marketing
I would really recommend it for anyone who is busy with life, but still wants to learn something new or like many of my peers who took it as a refresher course.  Things are always changing in Marketing so this is really an excellent opportunity for anyone.

Here are my thoughts on the UI course at BrainStation

- Extremely thorough

- You get what you put it in: Even at a minimum you're walking away with a nicely designed, working prototype to add to your portfolio. At a maximum you've fully designed an app with interaction design. 

- Instructors are well versed in the field and high-quality educators

- I encourage students to take more time brainstorming together -- everyone had such great ideas!

- I would have liked there to be a little more design training (colours, ratios, fonts, etc. They do cover this, but I imagine there's so much more! 

- Would definitely recommend as an extra tool for your professional belt. Read less

I started the course in-person at BrainStation before Covid-19 hit and the experience was great. I was worried it wasn't going to be the same online but it ended up being better than anticipated and I'd of actually preferred the whole course to be done online! The Instructors were always more than happy to help us over Zoom calls and kept in touch on Slack if we had any questions. Especially during this virus crisis, having an exceptional online course to take is extremely useful and I might even take one again soon from BrainStation. Read less

The class was twice a week for a month, weekdays from 6:30 - 9:30. Many days we went over as the teachers Khalid and Maliha were explaining concepts and answering questions, but never felt rushed.
Well composed and informative, however, fairly entry-level set of knowledge, which worked well for me as that's what I was looking for.
No support from Brainstation after completion for help with resume update or interview preparations. Read less

I took the part-time class for UX Design at Brain Station in Vancouver in February 2020. I really liked the class.  The knowledge from the 2 teachers was priceless as they work currently in the industry. I would have loved to have more teaching of some softwares that are useful to complete the course (and to work in the industry in general), so it's best to learn some of the tools before hand like Sketch, etc... but I would not hesitate to take another class with Brainstation because of the wealth of information you get from the teachers. The instructors are amazing and are very informative. While there were struggles throughout the course, most came becuase creativity and design can be subjective.  I feel like it was handled pretty well with the most often phrase uttered being " Embrace Ambiguity" which at first was very fustrating but over time became a rule to follow. While the lessons taught were simple enough, what BrainStation does diffrent is force you to immediatly apply those lessons which for me was amazing. On top of that Brainstation Does an amazing job getting you actually experience. Things like brainstation 3d and a sprint that we ran with BMO was an awesome experince. While I wish more of the course had these moments where we did something similar to industry i was very content with the content. I think the worst part of this course is that fact that they dont teach html/css on top of sketch. Designers should learn to code, it makes them an asset.

Wyncode is a very postivie learning environment with an abundance of resources. You definitely feel the "never stop learning" mentality while at Wyn-base. The overall culture is very supportive. Additionally, the UI/UX course and web development course team up together in order to get a better feel of what working in a real product environment would feel like.

I'm very grateful to Wyncode! If it weren't for the WIT cohort, I wouldn't have realized that I'm front-end development oriented. I never dreamt before the WIT cohort that I would be involved in something like that, pioneering and everything. I feel like I have a bright future ahead if I keep up with Mr. Mikkola's and Wyncode's advice on the job search and staying motivated. I'm grateful to my teacher, to the program manager for the WIT cohort, and everybody else who made it possible.

I was a bit hesitant about investing that much money in a Bootcamp, but now after this 3 months have passed, I can say it was definitely worth it. It was intense, fast-paced and challenging, everything you should expect from this sort of program. Overall the curriculum is great and the atmosphere is amazing.

Great program to transition into a Data Science career. Was very happy with the knowledgeable and helpful instructors. They are great resource but they only make part of the whole experience. The whole BrainStation team works around the clock to give relevant and up to date material. From career development workshops, projects, cross program workshops and more this program really encompasses more than I expected. Would 100% recommend. You definitely get out what you put in.

You won't regret joining the Wynfam. It's an intense 10 weeks but you sure get out of it what you put in. Once you commit to putting in long days you will grasp the concepts. At the end you will have learned A LOT but you will also know that you have A LOT MORE to learn. Highly recommend. The teachers and TA's are so supportive and the co-founers get so involved in the journey, they're very inspiring.
