The pace was rigorous for a class with no prerequisites. The instructors were world class with a wealth of knowledge.  I would have appreciated some supplemental reading assignments in between classes so I could keep up with the class better. Again, the class itself was excellent, but the caliber of students wasn't what I was expecting. Unfortunately, many of my classmates did not participate fully in the weekly classes and they did not complete the final project - this reduces the value of this certificate for me as I am confident that those who did not complete the materials still received the certificate. I hope that Brainstation can find more ambitious professionals to take their courses.  Read less

Just completed the UX design course by Brainstation, and it was fantastic! Both instructors were knowledgeable and passionate, making the lessons fun and easy to understand. The online platform was user-friendly, providing access to great resources and industry-standard design tools. Collaborating with talented classmates was a bonus. I really enjoyed this course, I found that it gave me a really strong foundation in the most important tools I need to perform quality data analysis - the tools being excel, SQL and Tableau. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants an edge in data analysis!  Read less

In my opinion, this course spent too much time on paid content and demonstration of ad manager backends, and rushes through organic content and strategies. I wish there was more time spend on budgeting, and how to actually apply the concepts. It gives you real world examples but I wish there was some sort of homework given during the course with short feedback from the instructors, and more in class discussions or thought experiments during the lessons, so there would be a more practical learning component throughout the course and not just the final project. There is a lot of information and knowledge to gain in this course, but for me the in-class aspect unfortunately didn't add much to my learning experience.  Read less

This bootcamp exceeded my expectations. I am a recent graduate from the software engineering program and have yet to be fully immersed in the job market and the industry, but I still highly rate the program itself. I could not think of many ways they could have done more for us during these 12 weeks. From the guest industry speakers, nice NYC campus location, dedicated educators, and impressive organization and structure, I'm glad I took this leap of faith. The cost is about what I would've paid for a semester of undergrad, but it was 12x better in terms of professional development, learning experience, educational content, and organization and effort from the BrainStation folks. I have just finished the Product Management Course and I really enjoyed it. The instructors were great and because this is the area they work in, they could relate it to an every day, real world example. I would have preferred to have my strategy feedback earlier than 2 days before I was due to do my final project presentation, but it didn't affect it that much. It was just a few tweaks. I took an 8-week evening course in Product Management to up-skill in my collaboration with product managers as a product designer. I found the course to be a great introduction to the key topics of product management, yet provided indepth knowledge about the profession that I wasn't even aware of from my day-to-day as a designer. I found the final project to be a great way to apply all of the knowledge we gained, and my fellow classmates were incredibly engaged, knowledgeable and from diverse backgrounds and careers.  Read less

I felt like the instructors were very thorough and really cared about if we understood the coursework. When they could tell that I was confused about something, they would help troubleshoot personally or offer to go over problems via slack outside of class. I really appreciated that they had industry experience and were able to offer insights on career questions, not just technical questions. My one concern going into the class was that I had no previous background in anything related to tech. I am currently a preschool teacher, and wanted a way to dip my toes into the world of data without feeling overwhelmed by a the commitment of a bootcamp. What I liked about the course was that it was informative but still simple enough to understand for a beginner like myself. Although I realized that data may not be the path for me in terms of a future career, I am grateful to have learned the skills I did in this class. I am particularly thankful for my newfound Tableau skills, because I believe they will help me in whatever field I am in to create more compelling presentations. BrainStation's Data Analytics course featured valuable content and a well-structured syllabus. The topics covered included analyzing data using Excel, SQL, and visualizing data using Tableau, providing me with the necessary knowledge and skills for data analytics. However, for those without a data analytics background, the fast pace of the course, limited by the time allocated for teaching all topics, hindered in-depth teaching and exploration of certain concepts. Nonetheless, the course successfully laid a strong foundation in data analytics, enabling further growth and self-study in the field.

I took the digital marketing course in May - June 2023. It was a 3 hour course each week in person with two facilitators for a duration of 7 classes. I felt it was nice taking it in person and asking facilitators questions. It was just scratching the surface with marketing. We were required to complete a course project and complete it on time.  I did find it challenging working in a group. Two members did leave the course however we managed to complete the course  which did prepare us for real life scenarios that could happen when trying to complete deliverables. I enjoyed the categories being discussed and really enjoyed being present in class to ask questions with the facilitators. I think future students should consider their other life commitments when taking the course as it does require a commitment to complete. I highly suggest talking to current students and alumni to get a scope of the course. Overall it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend it for folks looking to get a brief intro to digital marketing and for anyone working in one aspect of marketing and looking to learn about other areas in the topic.  Read less
