JUMP by Cognixia offers 6–10 week technical training bootcamp with campuses in New Jersey, Texas, North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona, and Online. The JUMP curriculum covers Salesforce, React, and ETL. JUMP bootcamp was founded by Cognixia, a digital transformation and training company, and its mission is to bridge the gap between the demand for qualified IT professionals and the supply of qualified tech workers. Students work, learn, and train with industry experts who have led tech companies. JUMP is committed to the career success of its students and does this through projects that help them understand the implementation of technology in real-life situations. Students will also learn soft skills, such as how to navigate the nuances of work-life and other interpersonal abilities that will make them more attractive to prospective employers. JUMP's Coaching Service helps with resume formatting, interview best practices, and professional self-development.
JUMP is designed for college graduates with some prior programming experience who wish to enter the tech industry. During the application process, applicants will be screened to gauge their basic level of comprehension of relevant technology. Candidates will then do an in-person or webinar interview. Before being officially allowed into the program, applicants will take an aptitude test to showcase their problem-solving capabilities.
Students are given practical exposure to real-world tech scenarios, to prepare them to hit the ground running on their first day of work. Ultimately, the goal of the JUMP program is to place every student with one of Cognixia's clients – mostly in the financial and technology industries.

The quality of the training depends on the instructors responsible for teaching a certain subject. Most instructors went above and beyond with their responsibility and arranged time to help students outside of training hours. However, there were some instructors whose teaching styles I was disappointed with, and sometimes the pacing of the course goes very fast due to the time constraint and the amount of material needed to be covered. However, there were some instructors whose teaching styles I was disappointed with, and sometimes the pacing of the course goes very fast due to the time constraint and the amount of material needed to be covered. During these times, I found myself working long hours after the training ended to teach myself the material and not fall behind. There is a mechanism in place to help the instructor improve their teaching style via weekly reviews in which we would rate certain areas of the training and give feedback to the instructor. I did see some improvement after feedback was given, but felt that the teaching style was still lacking in some areas. Materials and teaching styles used ranged from lecturing from slideshows, watching videos or pre-recorded lectures, coding along with the instructor, being given in-class challenges or homework, group and individual projects, etc. The slideshows were very informative, but it does get monotonous listening to lectures for a long period of time. What I liked was that some instructors would break up the lecture by showing us an example or having us do a challenge that incorporates what we learned so far from the slides. This pacing helped in keeping me attentive and not burning out. Pre-recorded lectures were also not the best method for training since the videos can be outdated and it's harder to follow along and ask questions. When brought up, the instructor did make an effort to find updated resources, but sometimes class time would be wasted learning from outdated resources and we'd have to learn the updated version on our own time. The workload was realistic for the most part, and if they weren't, instructors were open to the students' feedback and would give extensions on time. Projects not only helped with improving our technical and collaborative skills, but presenting them also helped to become familiar with using technical language. The program uses Moodle to organize the learning materials and also to distribute weekly assessments. I do feel like Moodle wasn't used to its fullest potential. For example, instead of emailing completed assignments, there's a feature in Moodle that allows students to turn in the assignments. I feel like this way is more organized, and it's also easier for students to look back at the assignments turned in. The organization of Moodle could also be improved, such giving the sections and folders descriptive names. For example, instead of "Week 2" or "Day 1," it would be helpful to name them after the subject being covered. In addition to technical skills, the JUMP Program assisted with soft skills, resume reviews, and interview practices. Once a week, or once every two weeks depending on the length of your training, a "Digital Mindset" assignment would be given out to help improve certain areas such as Adaptability, Digital Readiness, Agility, etc. These assignments consisted of watching TEDTalks, reading articles, and answering question via recorded videos. The resources were interesting and it was a nice break from technical assignments. Talking on camera also helped prep for interviews since they're done virtually. Regarding the resumes, I do disagree with some areas of the resume template we used to model ours after, such as having an objective since it seems outdated nowadays. Towards the end of the training, an interview roleplay is set up between the student and a talent developer. The questions asked here are not too technical, but I received valuable feedback from my session nonetheless and it made me feel more comfortable having done these mock-interviews when going into the real one. Overall, I personally did learn a lot from this program, including getting better at the skills that I came in with. The key thing to have in order to succeed in this program is motivation since a lot of self-learning is required. Great Experience
I was initially very nervous about the process. I received a message from a recruiter over linkedIn. A short conversation lead to a few interviews. I almost walked away when the recruiters asked for my private information, including SSN, over e-mail. When I told them I wasn't comfortable with that, their IT team set up a secure portal for me to share the information they needed.

After joining the program I again was nervous when I had to sign a loan for the training. The loan would be forgiven if I completed the training. If I happened to get the job the training was for and I represented the program poorly, I would once again be on the hook for the cost of the training.
The training itself was 3 weeks of lecture and tests; 8 hours a day, 5days a week. I learned the basics of interacting with a mainframe terminal, writing JCL and COBOL code. Along with the lectures, There were also plenty of opportunities to interact with employees of the company were training to join. This was a mentally exhausting and fun experience. Unfortunately this training had to be remote do to COVID-19.
I have been offered a position for the company we were training to join and I have accepted. The plan is to start working in about 2 weeks.

Java Full stack developer training review
This was a great course. However it moved to fast. It is kind of hard to catch up sometime but the instructors are really nice and always willing to help. If you want to get your foot in a door and don't mind a two year contract and relocation you should be good. We learned alot of stuff from Java to devops. Just make sure read all the information and willing to relocate.
