Before making my decision, I researched many private courses and programs at other universities. I can tell you that this is the most comprehensive and balanced program at a competitive fee. At others schools, you get a third of the material from this course for the same price. Another important factor is the excellent reputation of Columbia University as one of the most prestigious universities not only in the US but the world. This translates into the quality of its educational programs and teaching staff. Also, this certificate program allows one to attend classes in the evening so as not to interfere with one’s job. It’s very convenient for those working individuals who want to further develop their UX/UI skills or change their profession altogether.
Why did I choose the UX/UI Design program? I have a degree in web design, programming, and computer graphics. However, I did very little work in this area, more often as a freelancer, as this was not my main job. I received my diploma 10 years ago and a lot of what I learned then became outdated. Back then there wasn’t even a concept of UX/ UI. I decided to go back to doing UX/UI as I feel that this is an area I can excel in. Knowing what I needed to learn for my future job made it easier for me to choose this course. I advise anyone who wants to change their profession and doesn’t know where to start to sign up for Columbia Engineering UX/UI Boot Camp. I can assure you for sure that you will get a good starting base knowledge of UX/UI. During the course, you will create a personal portfolio which is not so easy to do on your own, especially if you are not familiar with web design and user research. I highly recommend Columbia Engineering UX/UI Boot Camp course! - 71Reviews7CoursesUniversity of Denver Boot Camps are 12-week, full-time, or 24-week, part-time web development, UX/UI, data analytics, and cybersecurity courses, and an 18-we... There were about 30 people in a class and 1 instructor and 2 TAs. The course was remote and taught over Zoom used with Slack. I was able to learn multiple concepts needed to become a Full Stack Developer. We would get assignments that we were put in a breakout room to complete and get experience after the instructor finished teaching the concept. The instructors and TAs would join the rooms and help us with any difficulties.
Some other perks I found helpful was the fact that I was assigned a tutor who I could work one on one with for an hour every week, I got experience collaborating with other people on projects, I received feedback on my career materials, and I got assigned a career coach I could meet with after graduation to assist with the job search.
Only complaint I have is that some of the other people in my class were lazy and not very intelligent and wouldn't help with projects and managed to be a burden. I don't mind helping people out when they run into problems when they pay attention to what I am saying and learn. I had some people who I helped out in the Boot Camp who were genuinely trying to improve and ended up becoming better after I helped them and it made them willing to help me out but I wasted hours trying to teach certain people simple concepts that they couldn't understand after they wouldn't put any effort into the class. This isn't entirely the fault of the school as they had a process of checking the people who applied. This is something that will happen anywhere though and it is good to know how to handle situations like this in life.
I am able to recommend the Boot Camp and say that it was helpful for me. I am currently seeking a job and can say that I have received good help with programming and job seeking. V School

The Bootcamp doesn't require a computer science background but it helps to have university-grade foundations in computation, mathematics, and statistics as well as some experience with programming languages. On many occasions, because of the fast pace of the program, I wished I had more time to deepen my knowledge of certain topics and tools like web technologies, cloud computing, and Python libraries, but at least the curriculum revisits them later on and expands on them appropriately. The career services are good but it's hard to prioritize them early on with so much going on in the lessons and assignments. The way I get the most out of the course is by being confident using everyday tools like Git, Google, the command line, and code editors, as they can get in the way of learning more complex topics further down the road. The rest is applying the course materials in whatever interests you the most. The first 4-6 weeks can be difficult as you adapt to the schedule but it gets easier once you make a habit of learning and practicing technical skills while progressively becoming a better data analyst. As a derivatives trader, I wanted the ability to work with data in a way I couldn't without knowing how to program. Little did I realize that I would get SO much more from this course. The instructor has been one of the most enlightening, energetic, and brilliant individuals I have ever met -- and I learned so much more than just how to write in Python. He broke down concepts like statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, creating databases -- into concepts I not only understand, but can program myself. Collaborating and delivering worthwhile projects on time, learning how to approach problems and delegate tasks to team members -- this course was much more than just a how-to in python. In 6 months my friends who are programmers are blown away but what I can do now.

Let me also prefaHello review seeker, I just finished DevLeague a couple weeks ago… be prepared for a long but genuine review of Hawaii’s only coding bootcamp. Let me also preface this review by stating that other than knowing a bit of HTML / CSS, I have absolutely no coding knowledge or experience.
Before enrolling myself in their immersive full-time program, like you and many others… I did my research and tried to find any review or resource I could get my hands on about this school. When I stumbled upon CourseReport and saw all their 5 star reviews, the cynic in me couldn’t believe this boot camp (let alone one all the way in Hawaii) could achieve so many positive reviews, so naturally I assumed most were fake. It wasn’t until I personally met (or saw around school) a lot of these “rando” names that were being used on CourseReport, did in fact belong to actual people and these are genuine reviews from real DevLeague alumni.
Taking the plunge with DevLeague as my sidekick was a huge risk for me as I was working full-time in a non-tech job but one of the major deciding factors in choosing this coding bootcamp was the fact that I would be able to make this big career switch in just a few short months and I didn’t have to step foot out of Hawaii.
Being the premature baby dev that I was with no coding background, I enrolled in their JavaScript prep course so I could gain enough knowledge to submit my coding challenge entry. Vic was our main instructor during the 4-week prep course and he was (and still remains) one of my favorite people I’ve met through DevLeague. It’s hard to say *favorite* because honestly, pretty much everyone at DevLeague was awesome and I’m really glad to be a part of this community.
I remember when I first started attending prep class, I was really shocked (but impressed) with the sense of support and community from everyone at DL. Previous graduates would come back to help out or various alumni popped in to give some advice, even students from other classes would stop by to see how we were doing. Needless to say, I really felt the support system there and it’s obvious it trickled down from the top.
I wouldn’t be sitting here today, a DL graduate, if it weren’t for the help and support from Russel and Jason. I can’t count how many emails were passed between Russel and I before I started DevLeague. He was incredibly responsive and resourceful especially when I was going through the process to apply for scholarship, which I was generously awarded. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity they’ve given me.
It’s clearly impossible for me to write a shorter review, especially on something that has had such a big impact, but I’ll try to summarize my experience of the actual bootcamp program:
If you’re looking at the full-time program of 11 hour days, 6 days a week… it seems long, yes, but honestly it passes by pretty quickly especially since you’re jamming on code 70% of the time. My other classmates have the same view as me in this regard.
It’s extremely challenging. I felt so overloaded with information at times that I barely felt like I actually retained anything. That led to me asking myself “Did I make the right decision going through this program?” or “Maybe I’m not meant to be a developer?”
In the beginning, I felt like nothing made sense and it wasn’t until towards the tail end of bootcamp that the pieces started coming together to form a whole picture.
The curriculum is well thought out, projects on point for the topic and I enjoyed the humor in the slideshows. The readme docs are at times confusing (probably getting us used to reading real docs, lol) and some needed updates.
In the end, I wholeheartedly join in and agree with the others in saying “It was the best decision I made” career-wise and if you’re on fence about taking the course or want to ask me for more details about my experience, I’ll be more than happy to answer them for you… shoot me an email jennahscriptAToutlookDOTcom

The focus on hands-on labs was particularly helpful, as we got to use tools like Nmap, Kali Linux, Metasploit and Wireshark. The course itself was a lot to digest, but Instructor William Clark was awesome and made everything so easy. When it comes to career support, they offered excellent career services, including resume building and mock interviews. You have to put in the work, but they are there for you along the way. Gwen Gayhart is the best at what she does. She's really passionate about helping people get to where they want to be. My interest in AI wasn't just academic; it was also practical, as I sought to integrate AI solutions into my company's operations. After exploring various programs, Rice's offering stood out due to its comprehensive approach, blending foundational AI knowledge with deeper, more technical insights. My journey through the Rice AI Bootcamp has been nothing short of exceptional. The curriculum is intense, designed to cover extensive material quickly, aligning with my expectations for a rigorous learning experience. The instructor deserves special mention; his dedication to both the subject matter and student engagement is palpable. Initially, his method seemed daunting, but it quickly became clear that his interactive style was meant to foster a deeper understanding and engagement, making the complex feel accessible. For anyone contemplating this course, here's my advice:- Brush Up on Python: Before diving in, reinforce your Python skills. There are plenty of resources online or in print that can help.
- Statistics is Key: A solid grasp of statistics is crucial as it underpins much of AI.
- Stay Calm and Engaged: The pace might be brisk, but give yourself time to adjust. Utilize the resources provided, like pre- and post-session Q&A times, and don't hesitate to seek tutoring for a deeper understanding or help with assignments.
My time at this Bootcamp has been transformative, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to seriously advance their AI knowledge and skills. - 37Reviews6CoursesUniversity of Minnesota Boot Camps offer a 12-week, full-time and 24-week, part-time web development courses, 24-week, part-time data analytics, cybersecurit... I was interested in finding a new career path since I dropped out of college after my first year. I was studying computer science and it just was not fit for me. I started looking into cybersecurity more and was very interested in all the different paths you could follow. Through my employer, I looked at bootcamps they provided and found this cybersecurity bootcamp through the University of Minnesota. I read what the journey through the 24 week course looks like, and I decided to jump in for the long haul. My experience with this bootcamp was beyond phenomenal. From the instructor to the TA's, you could really tell they wanted every single student to succeed. I could tell it was just as hard for them as it was for us students, but the passion they poured into this course was amazing. One of my favorite aspects of this program was working with my peers to complete projects. It was awesome to see how easy it was to work with them and how friendly everyone was. If I had to give advice to future students, I would recommend to make connections in your class and work with each other, whether it's on the weekly assignments, or if it is on the projects you have to complete. Having those connections will improve your quality of life during this bootcamp, and can also be helpful after you finish. I will miss this bootcamp, it was a great course and taught me tons of information. SMU Boot Camps

Their bootcamp offered an immersive hands on course experience which ensured I had the skill set needed to survive in a professional Software Developer environment.
TTT's course was not the typical class room/lecture environment. It was the kind of course which engages you to constantly learn by solving problems and creating projects (I'd like to mention that this was made perfectly clear to me before I enlisted). The hands-on course work included Object Oriented Programming (OOP), problem solving with algorithms, and creating many android applications that centered around specific functions with the addition of an Internship.
As a current Android Developer, I've worked at two companies now since my departure from TurnToTech; and I cant stress how similar the course work is to what I've faced on the job. To clarify what I mean, I'll give a quick rundown of how finding and working at a Mobile/Android developer role is like.
1) To get an interview, you need a resume depicting projects you've worked on as a Software Engineer. Thus my resume (I'll note here that I was a recent Nursing grad and the only job exp I had was at the Home Depot) compromised of small android applications which TTT's course provided to create and that I continued adding onto(polished them and added my own features), the internship project at TTT which I got to work within a dev team of fellow students under the instructor who I say acted as a product manager/lead developer, and my own small application which the instructors were more than happy to encourage/help me create.
2) To pass the interview, you'll usually need to answer various Android (or w/e you specialize in) questions as well as solve an algorithm challenge/s. Both of these topics I covered within the course. As mentioned, TTT's course includes a dive into solving algorithms and learning about multiple data structures. And besides creating multiple Android apps pertaining to all the major Android components, the course provides multiple quizzes (open ended and multiple choice) to help solidify your understanding over a specific topic. In addition, the intstructors themselves offer mock interviews that are similar to what you'll face in real life.
3) Once you get a job in any Software engineering role, you'll quickly realize how there isn't a one solution to fix all problems. You'll constantly be problem solving all day every day; and that is what I believe TTT excels at the most. TTT teaches you how to create/find the answers yourself. By being a bootcamp, which encourages students to become self-proficient, they prepare you for the everyday environment where you're expected to produce without much help.
To wrap things up, the experience I got at TTT was great. For the negative reviews regarding the nature of the course, those people missed the point of the bootcamp. This wasnt a standard college course substitute. TTT was a place that accepted me with zero software development knowledge then prepared me for a software developer job in under a year. So yes, if you attend this course and have a question about a problem you're stuck on and the instructor kindly encourages you to find the answer on StackOverflow, its because thats what you'll be doing every day within your software developer career.

Having recently graduated from the bootcampIf you are passionate about learning, and developing your skills in cybersecurity, look no further than this course. Having recently graduated from the bootcamp I can say that I've never had a group of instructors as passionate about teaching and cybersecurity as those I've found here. I have taken courses on HackTheBox, TryHackMe, TCM, and a number of others and the level and quality seen here is unmatched. The course itself is designed to be challenging (it is) and is geared to help students develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and skills need to land their first job in cyber. They encourage students to ask questions, improve critical thinking skills, and most importantly, develop hands on knowledge and experience needed to truly be impactful from day 1 of landing a job. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced in your skills you will learn something from this course.
