There were about 30 people in a class and 1 instructor and 2 TAs. The course was remote and taught over Zoom used with Slack. I was able to learn multiple concepts needed to become a Full Stack Developer. We would get assignments that we were put in a breakout room to complete and get experience after the instructor finished teaching the concept. The instructors and TAs would join the rooms and help us with any difficulties.
Some other perks I found helpful was the fact that I was assigned a tutor who I could work one on one with for an hour every week, I got experience collaborating with other people on projects, I received feedback on my career materials, and I got assigned a career coach I could meet with after graduation to assist with the job search.
Only complaint I have is that some of the other people in my class were lazy and not very intelligent and wouldn't help with projects and managed to be a burden. I don't mind helping people out when they run into problems when they pay attention to what I am saying and learn. I had some people who I helped out in the Boot Camp who were genuinely trying to improve and ended up becoming better after I helped them and it made them willing to help me out but I wasted hours trying to teach certain people simple concepts that they couldn't understand after they wouldn't put any effort into the class. This isn't entirely the fault of the school as they had a process of checking the people who applied. This is something that will happen anywhere though and it is good to know how to handle situations like this in life.
I am able to recommend the Boot Camp and say that it was helpful for me. I am currently seeking a job and can say that I have received good help with programming and job seeking.

The modules covered build on concepts in a way that really helps with understanding. The instructors really promote class interaction which is good for tackling these topics in such a short time, getting our engagement rather than simply lecturing at us. They also encourage participation in a class Kaggle competition, which helps with additional free-form practical application of the concepts covered in class (plus some friendly competition for motivation). Most importantly, the instructors are very interactive, hands on, and passionate. They want to see every cohort succeed in their learning and you can see the labor of love that goes into teaching us, providing quality content both in the sessions and via the course site. This really sets them apart from other bootcamps, especially those provided online.
The course covers all the hot topics in the Data Science field, grounding in the perspective that the bootcamp is looking to prepare students with a broad range of experiences. I don’t have any negative things to said and I’m pretty hard to satisfy so they are definitely doing the right things. I still have access to their platform since I purchased a lifetime membership years ago. I’ve finished the Data Science career pathway and now I’m running out of courses to take within DQ. I do wish they invest more in AI courses, e.g., large language models, deep learning, AI agent development, etc. Hopefully, someone will see this post and start creating more advanced course in AI. Long story short, great platform you won’t regret it!

Before enrolling in the course I had interviewed for a few tech and research-oriented positions in my field and failed to move past the last stages of the proceBefore enrolling in the course I had interviewed for a few tech and research-oriented positions in my field and failed to move past the last stages of the process, so I decided that I needed to get better prepared to meet the demands of today's data-driven world.This Bootcamp's curriculum covers a lot of ground and it succeeds to stay within industry-standard tools and practices that have given me the confidence to work with real-life data analytics and data engineering tasks. The Bootcamp doesn't require a computer science background but it helps to have university-grade foundations in computation, mathematics, and statistics as well as some experience with programming languages. On many occasions, because of the fast pace of the program, I wished I had more time to deepen my knowledge of certain topics and tools like web technologies, cloud computing, and Python libraries, but at least the curriculum revisits them later on and expands on them appropriately. The career services are good but it's hard to prioritize them early on with so much going on in the lessons and assignments.The way I get the most out of the course is by being confident using everyday tools like Git, Google, the command line, and code editors, as they can get in the way of learning more complex topics further down the road. The rest is applying the course materials in whatever interests you the most. The first 4-6 weeks can be difficult as you adapt to the schedule but it gets easier once you make a habit of learning and practicing technical skills while progressively becoming a better data analyst.

There is an online platform to learn from during the course which is great for people, like me, who enjoy learning in their own speed. Currenty I'm working as a developer and the skills I needed to get the job I got from the course. Obviously the course is no magic, there are some people who expect to automaticlly get jobs with crazy salaries just because they did the course, the course is an amazing helping tool but if you wont try hard no course whould help you.

One of the highlights was the opportunity to work on real-life projects with actual stakeholders, which provided invaluable practical experience. The program culminated in a demo day, where we showcased our projects to leading tech companies, giving us fantastic exposure and networking opportunities.
While the bootcamp is very challenging and requires a lot of hard work, perseverance truly pays off. The skills and knowledge I gained have been transformative, and I feel well-prepared to take on a tech career.

My experience at the Grace Hopper Program changed my life in a myriad of ways. I think though, that besides teaching me their specific stack, GHP really taught me how to think like a programmer. Since graduating I've been able to teach myself so many new languages and technologies because of this experience. I chose the program because I'm a nonbinary student and wanted to go somewhere where my identity would be respected, and I absolutely felt that throughout my experience. My cohortmates, fellows, and instructors were so supportive and still are even now after I've graduated. The pair programming enabled me to learn to speak technically and work with others in this new environment, and the workshops are still useful for me to go through even now that I'm an employed software engineer. I cannot recommend the Grace Hopper Program enough for any woman or nonbinary person looking to get into the technical field.
