    Satisfied my hunger for learning

GA has helped me gain a better understanding of UX Design in general.  However, there were aspects that we were not taught (properly) and those are a little regretful for me. Overall, the instructors were useful and the opportunity to work with a real client was most significant for me.

    Fun, exciting, transformative

I loved my time at GA, being a student again whilst I worked on switching careers was such a fun experience. The course material was interesting and equipped me well for my first job as a software engineer. It was hard work but enjoyable and I made a lot of good friends along the way. 5 years out I am incredibly happy I made the switch and loving my new career.

    Intensive, Challenging, Rewarding

I graduated from a three-month Data Science Bootcamp at General Assembly, and I have no regrets. The instructors and the team at GA were genuinely committed to helping me learn and build the necessary foundations for success in the field, as well as securing a job. However, one criticism I have is that, while I understand this is the usual bootcamp format, the sheer volume of content taught, combined with the multiple projects, made it challenging to absorb all the information.

Front End Web Development Short Course Review

This course was a great learning experience! I work in a job where I already had exposure to front end web development but I wanted to learn the basics in a formal setting. This course gave me just that! I already find myself using what I learned in the class, in my job now. I learned html and css, and strengthen my existing javascript skills. The class was great for beginners and the instructor was a great teacher, I learned a lot.

The only negative feedback I have is that I wis...

    Career and life changing education

I graduated from the Data Science immersive course at General Assembly in 2017. Before the course, I only knew basic SQL and less than 10 hours of Python. At the time, the course was taught in person, which was my preferred method of learning. I was able to ask questions, get individual help, and learn from experienced instructors. I was able to learn from the basics of Python and software engineer (Git, Jupyter notebook, etc.) to trying my hand out on convolutional neural networks. This...

    Supportive team for career switchers

Well structured team for first time career switchers, broken into the instructional team to strengthen your technical skills and a career team to provide guidance on your next move towards your career goals. Of course, you have the biggest part to play in all of this, after all it's your own career, however the guiding lights are there to guide you on a path not many will take in their lifetime.

    Great!

Curriculum was comprehensive and sufficient support was given by instructors. Post-course career support was fantastic as career coaches constantly engage you to help find a job after the course ends.

    Don't attend this school

I attended this bootcamp in 2023 and was one of the blessed few to actually receive a job.  Our `outcomes` teacher who is supposed to help you find a job was fired in the middle of one of our `outcomes` classes.  Most of the students I went to school with have been unable to find work in the field.  I hear that this bootcamp used to be a good one before the corporation that now owns it took over and decided to cut corners, restrict campus access, and generally not care about the success ...

    Fun, Challenging, Rewarding

I graduated from the Software Engineering Immersive Bootcamp in Nov 2023. It was truly a rewarding experience for me as I managed to learn so much in such a short period of time. The instructional team were also very helpful and knowledgeable in the field and were always willing to answer any questions we had, at any time of day. It was definitely challenging to learn a whole new field in a few months, but with consistent work and the support around me, it made it a fun and rewarding exp...

    Engaging, efficent, tailored

I had an excellent experience. The course was well laid out, the instructors were clear, and the structure of content and labs made it easy to become comfortable with new concepts quickly. The career coaching by Steph Gonzales was very helpful and I landed a job within 2 months of graduating in mid 2023

Overall nice course, but be careful of the job placement promises

I attended General Assembly's bootcamp in UX design, and while my instructor was knowledgeable and supportive, I experienced disappointment with their job placement promises. Initially, I was led to believe that the duration of landing a job post-graduation would be as per advertised, which is 6 months. However, the reality was different. It took me 2 months to land an internship and another 7 months to land a full-time job and I would say I am already one of the luckier ones in this cas...
