Codeup is an immersive 15- to 20-week, in-person Full-Stack Web Development, Data Science, and Cloud Administration career accelerator in San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. The Full Stack Web Development program covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Java, Spring, and MySQL. The Data Science Program covers Python, SQL, data visualization, data analytics, data wrangling, and statistics. The Cloud Administration program covers networking, Linux, Windows, security, and AWS Cloud. Codeup offers a Tuition Refund Guarantee, which states if a student has not landed a job in-field within six months of completing their program, 100% of their paid tuition will be refunded back to them.

Prospective students must submit a brief online application, interview with the Codeup team, and then pass a 40-minute test covering word problems, logic problems, and basic algebra. The application process seeks three things: professionalism, motivation, and problem-solving ability.

Codeup has dedicated staff, an employer network, and community partnerships to help students land entry-level software development, data science and cloud administration positions. Students receive help on the job search through workshops, job fairs, and one-on-one support to navigate the tech industry. The most successful Codeup students are prepared to jump into careers as developers, data scientists, and cloud administrators, as well as enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems.

As of November 2022, Codeup is Texas' first and only accredited coding bootcamp. Codeup is accredited for postsecondary, non-degree granting, career, and technology programs by the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Found great people and a great career

Attending Codeup itself was a great experience. I met great people and felt supported in learning material that was very unfamiliar to me. To be completely honest, it gave me a platform to be in front of the right people and be in the right community. I was called right after our Demo Day by multiple recruiters and that certainly would not have happened if I hadn’t attended Codeup. While I personally couldn’t see myself having a career in coding, attending Codeup allowed me obtain an ama...

    Absolutely worth it

I graduated back in 2018 from the full-stack program after getting out of the Army. My experience while I was attending was nothing but positive, the instructors were very knowledge-able and always ready to help if I needed it. Codeup's course content is structured to be beginner friendly and is also project driven so I always felt like I actually working on the skills I was learning rather than just reading about it. Codeup's instructors and job placement team helped prepare me for my f...

    Life Changing Experience

I had a fantastic experience at Codeup. The instructors were excellent, the curriculum was extensive and practical, and they were serious about helping graduates find opportunities to launch their new careers. They are well connected with employers in the San Antonio area, and were directly responsible for finding rewarding opportunities for many of us. The job assistance is second to none. I have to make a call out to Stephen Salas in particular, as he is absolutely incredible.

    Enlightening, challenging, rewarding.

Best choice I've made in my life (besides marrying my wife).  I was shingling a house in July 2019 and by April 2020 had a job in IT.  CodeUp's incentives are alighted with the student's a way I did not experience in college.  They put their money where their mouth is when it comes to learning your selected field of study and obtaining a job in that field.

    Fast paced, challenging, rewarding

Codeup was a great experience. I wanted to change my career and learn new skills, and I definitely got that. It is a very accepting and comfortable environment, and the instructors are very knowledgeable. The skills taught are very valuable and there will be companies that will want it. I recommend Codeup to everyone, and it is one of the best decisions I made career wise.

    Life Changing

I attended Codeup's Full Stack Web Development Course. I was hired as a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Oracle in Austin after completion of the program. Choosing to attend a CS bootcamp was the best investment I could have made for myself professionally. I benefited from a program that prioritized in person lectures, offered an extensive professional network, and academic support.

    Great way to learn coding

I attended Codeup in 2018 after leaving the military. For me specifically, Codeup's every day schedule helped me with the transition from military to the civilian sector as it provided the structure you wouldn't typically get by going back to school. On top of that, the topics we covered in the course were right in line with expectations from the companies I interviewed with after graduation and set me up perfectly to go from learning to code, to working as a developer.

Great uplift to my engineering skills!

I graduated from Codeup's inaugural Data Science program in San Antonio in 2019 and would do it again in a heartbeat. I have been a licensed petroleum engineer for many years but have drifted away from practical coding and analytical skills that are so important. Codeup jump-started data science and machine learning techniques and gave me the practical skills to apply them in-depth. It was far beyond what I had been doing in Excel that there was no comparison. I use these methods daily, ...

    Wealth of Knowledge

My experience with Codeup was absolutely pivotal to entering a new career with the skills I needed to succeed.  From the learning environment, to the great teachers (Justin & Sophia were excellent) & excellent placement team - everyone was invested in your success & entrance into Software Engineering.  I can’t recommend it enough.

    Great coding bootcamp!

My experience at Codeup was great. I always felt like the staff at Codeup was invested in my success. The instructors were knowledgeable and delivered the curriculum in a way that was easy to follow. They also had availability for one on one tutoring outside of class hours. The exercises were challenging enough to make me feel accomplished at the end but also left room for additional challenges outside of the expected outcome. The course prepared me to adapt and learn coding technologies...

The pinnacle of change for me

Codeup was where I was able to achieve my dream of actually creating something through technology instead of always fixing it.  They taught me how to create web applications by teaching the basics of html/css then diving into Javascript and Java to make more intricate applications.  Teaching by way of practice, each big end of a curriculum point you work in a team to create a project to specifics based on what learned, using knowledge building up as go further into the course.

Premier Web Development Boot Camp in San Antonio

I think Codeup is the premier web development boot camp in San Antonio. The application process was straightforward and the coding assignments they give at this point provide a good gauge for the material you'll be working on during the boot camp. Also, Codeup is a great option for veterans since the program can be funded by the GI Bill.

Once you're accepted to the program, you will be given pre-work to complete to give you the fundamentals before starting the boot camp. I recomme...
